Yes, but you have to do you interview at a location with Canadian agents.

It seems very dynamic. Right now Champlain has availability this coming Wed 6 June.

Bad news for me is "The enrollment center Montreal Enrollment Center you selected does not have any available appointments." Hopefully Montreal is just as dynamic, but it seems tough if you can only go on a weekend.

When I first checked this morning just after receiving the "change of status" e-mail there was an open spot in Champlain tomorrow morning at 8:30. I am driving to the US on Tuesday and I plan on checking every 15-20 minites during the day tomorrow to see if I could maybe find a spot in Champlain on Tuesday.

It also seems that the appointments are only available until the end of August and Montreal was already booked full until August 30 this morning so that's probably why it "sold out" so fast.

+++ Blaine, WA police now controlling entrance to Nexus lane at Pacific Hwy during busy hours.

--- Non-Nexus bozos still driving halfway down Nexus lane at Peace Arch then blocking Nexus traffic when no on will let them in.

Application sent via GOES on April 5 for a Family of 3
Conditionally approved on June 3

First appointments available at CHAMPLAIN NY: July 30, MONTREAL P-E TRUDEAU: August 30.

If you are willing to drive further there were a lot of appts available at Lansdowne (my wait was under a week).

BTW does anyone know the name of the border at Ogdensburg? I don't think they have a Nexus center but I tried to find it on the U.S. border list and can't! (Not under Ogdensburg or Prescott - the names on the bridge - or anything else recognizable.) I know it exists, since I crossed there recently!

I can also vouch that it exists :)

The answer to that is yes. The only reason you need the iris scan at this point is to use NEXUS in Canada. You don't even need it returning to the US at this point, as there are GE machines in the pre-clearance areas.

Cool - so in your experience the iris scan machine will still work even though my Nexus card has expired because I am "in process".

I'll try it out next week.

Yes. You should have no problem. Used it four times since it was expired coming and going and no issues at all. Even used it with CATSA, but expected that they of anyone might have objected as they inspect the physical card and they did not.

Used mine yesterday to reenter Canada after attending the Star Megado launch party in DCA, and had no issue. (Nexus expired on May 31.)

Got lucky today when booking my appointment. Thought I would check YYZ before booking in Fort Erie, and kaching, got an appt for June 23rd at the airport!

Going into Canada on expired docs is, generally, not a big deal. It becomes a big deal when you try to go into the US. Once, I crossed the border w/ a re-issued NEXUS card. No one said anything at Ste. Cath, but I was apparently entering on an inactive NEXUS card. On my return to NY, I was immediately directed to the penalty box. I was ordered by CBP to step out of the car and hand the car keys to the border dragon. Another officer escorted me inside, as two more officers came to search my vehicle w/ K9s. The process of changing a card from inactive to active status took a mere couple of keystrokes; however, I was treated like a criminal throughout the entire process.

Appointments at Lansdowne are available starting early/mid-july, but considering that it's more than 3 hours away from my house by car versus a mere 30 minutes for Champlain I think I'll stick with my August 7 interview even tough it's another 2 months away.

My Nexus card expires next week. Silly me but I dragged my feet to get it renewed. I went on line last week but I guess I'll have problem in the next few weeks. Not sure what I was thinking. Hoping they just sent me a renewal. Oh my mistake and gong to have hang in.

Did you just go in and ask for an appointment.

Call to check, but I believe the current policy is that expired cards are still valid if a renewal is in progress. I know that's what they told me.
