My wife has Nexus/GE, is on a H1-B and multi-entry I-94. Was told by CBP and by the US side at the Nexus office that as long she was leaving the US/Canada for less than 30 days, she was ok to use the same multiple entry I-94. Immigration lawyer, however, said, yes, CBP, from their perspective is probably ok with that, but that it might be problematic for USCIS. So I'm still not completely sure.

FYI...my wife comes back into the states now on GE, and gets a new I-94 every time, but still has the old, multi-entry I-94 in her passport.

Doesn't that mean she has to report to the enrollment office every time to update her I-94? I forgot to do this once; it took them a while to catch up with me, but they did, and I got a very stern warning.

The NEXUS Information Thread

US officer (actually, 2, I think) at YYZ office, as well as an officer at a GE office told her there is no problem as she has a valid, multi-entry I-94, and to just toss the ones the machine spits out (actually, think there's a pile with a few at home).

Apparently, this isn't the case yet. My dad, who renewed and got conditional approval a couple of weeks ago, called to ask about it, including referencing the press release, and they didn't have a clue about it. Perhpas they are re-tuning the renewal application, or background checks, before they start acutally not requiring interviews.

My approval came right at Week 8 on the nose. My interview is at YYZ on the 26th of July.

How long do info updates take at YYZ?

I have a flight out of YYZ this afternoon around 5:30. I need to drop into the Nexus office for some information updates to my travel documents. This is the first time I've had to make info updates to my Nexus account.

Any idea how long the wait will be so I can efficiently plan my arrival time?

Limited sample size (3 or 4 visits) but in my experience never more than 15 minutes, and most times less

9 weeks here too:

From their email...

"The CBP Trusted Traveler Program has experienced an increased volume of applications which unfortunately has caused some processing delays. CBP is actively addressing the backlog and apologizes for the delay"

iris scan

Is iris scanning available at the Blaine Enrollment Centre, which is located on the Pacific Highway?

First post on this site ...

Hi everyone. Newbie here.

I applied (new application) for Nexus 4-weeks ago and am still "pending review" so started searching and found this thread. So much great information here.

From what I just read, I guess I still have at least 4 more weeks to go. Here I was hoping to have an interview before the end of the month :-(

Cheers

When's your expiry date? I got the approval, as posted, about a week ago and was even given an appointment this week (which I couldn't keep since I will be in Europe that day). My expiry is June 24th. There are cancellations popping up all the time at the YYZ centre, but the one that came up on the weekend was for the 26th of this month but I will still be away. I suspect that they are keeping some appointment blocks open to slot renewals once the paperwork has been approved.

Since the next earliest YYZ appointment is early August, I decided since I would be in Halifax next month, to book my appointment there for June 22nd, two days before my expiry. If anything opens when I am in Toronto, I will rebook one of those slots.

As for updating things like Drivers License or Passport numbers, as I noted last week, these take about 10-15 minutes, though I noticed my passport number was not changed when I reviewed my profile on GOES this weekend. Not sure what that means, but guess I'll find out on my return from LIS at EWR when I try to use my GE.

It's a new application.

Edit: just got an email saying the status of my application changed. Checked the site and it said to schedule an interview. Earliest in Edmonton and Calgary are August and September :(
