From memory I think it has to be a fully flexible fare so F or J probably. Unless one has a really good reason to purchase a fully flexible fare it's a pretty terrible deal IMO and always has been.

The Booking Class(es) used and procedures vary by carrier (e.g. some will use the most expensive J-Class Fare for the 1st PAX and book both PAX into Z Class, etc.)

Please contact AMEX Travel for exact details.

Is there a demo or trial version of the tool? Without EF, I've been manually searching R availability to try to use GPUs and it has been extremely tedious to search over several months for each route one by one. I'd like to be able to type in a route and view R availability for a few months. Or better yet, get a notification. If KVS can solve the issue, I'd gladly subscribe. However, I don't want to commit to $60 (I think I will need platinum) if it ends up not meeting my needs.

Or if I do the 2mo plan, can I upgrade to 6mo or annual later?

You can use the new [Power Search] feature at the Diamond level to help you locate Award/Upgrade Availability:

Hi all,

I have just got the KVS tool today. I did a very simple search from Tallahasee to Atlanta, it is odd that I did not get any result back.

What I am planning to do is to search from Tallahassee to Beijing, which I always get "No Results/Route Too Complex", So I break it to Tallahassee to Atlanta, Atlanta to Beijing. From Atlanta to Beijing, it works great. But it gives "No Results/Route Too Complex" when search from Tallahassee to Atlanta.

Please help, thanks a lot.

Mike

Please search segment-by-segment (e.g. TLH-CLT/MIA + CLT/MIA-ATL + ATL-PEK) on that route or use the [Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Method instead:

[QUOTE=KVS;22331054]Welcome to FT & KVS Tool!

Thanks a lot for the quick reply, really appreciate it.

To use the [Awards/AC-StarAlliance], it need the AC AE number, which I don't have it currently. Is it a credit card number? or a number which I can get for free.

Thanks again.

Mike

Thanks, I have signed up as a diamond user and figured out how to do a search for R space over a month. It runs a bit slower than I thought it would, but it is still less tedious than doing it manually. Is there a way to have it not stop after finding the first result? I'd like to see all results of the 30 day period. Actually, it would be nice if I could have it keep going for longer than 30 days without having to click again.

Also, I did not realize, that your tool acts as a web browser to united. Does this tool violate any of the TOS of united.com? I don't want united to complain to me that I'm doing something wrong.

"User agrees not to modify, copy, alter, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products or services ..."
This isnt considered copying or creating derivative works?

"User agrees not to use any robot, spider, other automatic device, or manual process to monitor or copy this Web site or the content ..."
Is this considered an automatic device to copy the content?

"User agrees not to take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure."
I suppose this is not adding any more load than me searching manually.

The Power Search is designed to locate the first available date. However, you can continue the search going forward by clicking the [Power Search] button again.

No, you are just viewing a web page (unless you decide to do something else with it).

No, it is a web browser.

That is correct.

Is it possible to search multiple destination airports?

I´ve been playing with the KVS tool a lot lately and had a functionality question.

I think this is not possible but I could be wrong. Say I am ex-WAS, the origin will always be the same, but suppose I had a long list of possible destination airports, like anything in SoFla or the Caribbean for example. Is there a way I can supply the whole list of destination airports and have KVS crank through, say, MIA, FLL, PBI, SXM, SJU, STT, NAS, GCB, MBJ, CUN, PUJ, ANU, AUA, for example, all at once and display all the results in the output box, as opposed to doing it all one by one? And for that matter, adding multiple alliances to search? The tool .does. do this, but not all at once. It would save loads of time if I could queue up a mass search. Is there a scripting language like ITA has?

YS ex-WAS to anywhere warm this Friday after work for the three day weekend is essentially non-existent right now but the search would be far less painful if I could bulk search.

You cannot specify multiple cities at once.

However, you can run multiple instances of the KVS Tool (on the same machine) to search different routes (or alliances) simultaneously.

I'm looking for a CX F award seat around 22-25 February HKG-JFK. Using the JL method looking for CX on HKG-JFK (the way I always search that route), only CX 846 is showing up, only that one flight on the listing although they run 4 flights/day. Any ideas?

You need to specify [Time:] to see those flights when using the [Awards/JL-OneWorld] Method:
