Any way to use KVS tool without installing Windows, which I will not do?

I am also a strictly Apple hardware user with a MacBook Pro, Mac mini servers, iPad and iPhones but I am also a significant user of virtual machines (running windows) on some of this hardware. It really is incredibly useful for development, testing, customer support and running legacy applications like KVS. We use parallels and VMware of which my personal favorite is parallels.

I had a question about the KVS tool specifically searching CX award less than 4 days from departure. For example if I wanted to check award 2 days from now. Is there any other way to check since when I use the tool, it says it's too close to check?

You using the [Awards/JL-OneWorld] engine, correct? It has the limitation you are encountering, but the other OW ones do not. For example, both [Awards/BA-OneWorld] and [Awards/CX-OneWorld] are showing similar a bunch of Business availability on HKG-JFK in a couple of days.

Of course, it's not guaranteed that AA will see the same availability, but I think you have a good shot at the space being available.

I am unsure what to do at this stage as I am new to using Crossover - previously using Parallels Desktop where it worked perfectly but it is MUCH easier to use it this way if I can get it working...

I cannot understand why it is so hard for KVSTool to release a Mac version...

I have been a Diamond user for years now and today is the first time (every time I try and find a *A) flight I have enter the captcha code.
Very irritating. :td:

Users, who exceed the query/velocity limits when using the [Awards/StarAlliance] Method, may be prompted for a CAPTCHA -- this is a requirement that is imposed by the [Awards/StarAlliance] Engine itself.

The OP may wish to use the [Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Method instead.

Access Denied?

I repeatedly get this message when searching for upgrade/award space on UA using Awards-Upgrades/UA. Not having any issue when I search on UAL.com with expert mode to be able to get at R/I space.

Please advise, thanks.

I've been getting that same error message since last night. Sent a message to KVS but no answer back yet. Hopefully UA hasn't found a way to block access like they've done with EF and others.

Agreed - that's my worry. Esp. since Availability searches for UA (that DON'T show I/O/R space) work just fine.

Yes, I noticed the same thing.

Not good and very annoying.

Having the same problem. I'm concerned that United is blocking KVS tool but not sure how since it just uses our log-in. I am travelling abroad so thought it might be an IP issue but with others complaining, this is clearly something more systemic.

Please note that the [Awards-Upgrades/UA] Method is currently unavailable.

My guess while UA could easily block EF due to searches being initiated from EF's servers, it has taken UA longer to develop a detector for a KVS driven (a signature) search. Appears UA has now been successful and we may have a cat and mouse game for awhile. To be blunt, probably the beginning of the end unfortunately.
