started to use KVStool recently, but got stuck with a problem.
When looking for fares, I can't select multiple airlines. I have tried with semicolon as described in baloon tip, but only get the first for whatever first airline code I enter. What am I doing wrong? I have a diamond account and using method Availability/FS. |

Yes, the KVS Tool fully supports Etihad Airways flights.
However, it is not quite clear what it is, exactly, that you are looking to do with your tickets. |

Only those Methods that display the [Airline(s):] label support that option.
"You can specify up to 3 airlines when using the [Availability/GTC], [Fares/FC] and [Timetable] Methods." A spin-off question, what is GTC and can I sign up somewhere? |

I bought 1 ticket last week for $1050. Trying to see if the "T" fares are still available for the dates I need in June/July for my wife and kids. I should have bought 4, but last week I was the only one who was planning to go (family reunion), but wife decided that she wants to go too. Current fare that comes up on Etihad.com is close to $2200 per person which is more than double what I paid for the same flight(s).

RTW fares
I used to be able to see RTW fares (Star alliance) on KVS.
Has that gone now? Only Fares/PSH is available and it doesn't offer RTW. Any likelihood that a more comprehensive fares tool will become available (including YQ surcharges too)? |

However the KVS subscription page still says:
Round-The-World/Special Circle Fares & Rules as a Diamond feature |

No flights found?
Hi KVS,
Rookie question. I have no doubt that the error lies with me, and not the software. But would you be so kind as to help me figure out where I’m going wrong? I’ve read the User Guide and FAQ but I’m still stumped. I am simply interested in booking a flight in one of the fare classes that appear for my search. In this case, it’s YUL to LYS on May 21. I see a flight with AY at $202 in booking class O. I see 4 O seats available under the Availability section, and I’ve also read the Fare Rules and the Routing Rules, and everything looks good. But when I plug the numbers into ITA (using your handy “Find Flights Using This Fare” function) it consistently gives me “No flights found.” I tried it for another class (K) on LH just for fun and I got the same thing. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! |
gonebabygone: Two things.
1. I've taken to searching ITA while explicitly turning off the option "Only show flights and prices with available seats". This way, it's easy to verify that it is in fact theoretically possible to follow the fare basis code you mentioned on a trip that went from, say, May 21 to May 28. So that's a good start. 2. After seeing that that's possible, you then have to check availability. By turning back on the option "Only show flights and prices with available seats" and performing the search again, we notice that flights are no longer found. By taking each flight segment individually and checking availability we see that there is O-class availability for the YMQ-LHR flight on the 21st but no O-class availability for the LHR-LYS flight on the 22nd. So that's what's stopping you from booking at this fare, I'd say. |

Trying to look for award space on BA SFO-LHR June 8, 2014. Using Awards-OneWorld I'm getting "No Availability- Engine Error" and using Awards-BA OneWorld I'm getting "No availability- route too complex". I am using KVS 7.3.4
