Updated to 6.0.7, and now I get the following error every time I close the tool:

"Unable to write to file. C:\Program Files (x86)\KVS Availability Tool\RegV2.dat [76] Path not found"

Went to the KVS folder in Program Files and indeed, there is no RegV2.dat file there. I have to re-enter my registration number each time I open the Tool in order to use it.

Have been a long-time user and this is the first time I'm seeing this. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still seeing this error. Any ideas?

Please see the newly-updated Q16 at http://FAQ.KVSTool.com/

This issue has now been resolved. Please restart the Tool for the changes to take effect.

The [Fares/TVN] Method is intended to display all currently-published fares. [Fares/PSH] & [Fares/DotRes] contain the date validation functionality, if desired.

When using Sabre Fares/TVN it will only display a portion of all the fares (aprox 30-40). Is there a way to get more/all?
Max is checked
Do not know if this is a new issue or a Sabre restriction

I understand - but the other methods work only for a single specific date. The data source for the Fares/TVN method allows user to specify start and end month range and get all published fares for travel in those months. It would be nice if KVS allowed the range to be input by user. (KVS does display the months being returned by data source just to left of the 'GO' button, just doesn't allow user to specify them.)

Also - with 6.0.7 getting error on Fares/TVN query 'Unable to obtain the Forex rate'
After clicking ok on that error box, the fares are displayed in Canadian $.

Oh... need to clarify.
It's NOT working with the POS: set to CA-SP1 (which I don't think is the default, but I tried it to see if there was any difference when I last had problem). It IS working with POS: set to CA-SP1

You are right. CA-SP1 does not work

We are looking into implementing this in one the future releases...

Must have been a transient issue with the Forex server and/or your connection/ISP -- is everything OK now?

This has now been confirmed to be an issue with the GTC engine itself -- it appears that it got 'confused' by the inter-airport connection in SAO. The correct display should have read:

Do not know if this is a new issue or a Sabre restriction

It's a limitation of the TVN engine.

If the Max option is activated and you still don't see the fare(s) you are interested in, then you would need to switch to one of the other Fare Methods, such as DotRes or PSH.

Please use the default POS option (CA-STD).

CA-SP1 should only be used if the default POS option does not work: http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Method_Sabre_Fares_TVN

Interesting.

I haven't compared to the Asiamiles website. But checking CX awards on KVS I'm getting F availability on aircraft without an F cabin.

If I weren't so lazy I would check the Asiamiles site to see whether it's reporting F inventory on aircraft with no F, or if it's an error in the way KVS is reading the data. ;)
