I haven't heard of ANX. Do you have more info about it?

See Star Alliance/Oneworld Award Planning with Award Nexus.

Since KVS is functionality-limited and EF is datafeed-limited, ANX is the only tool I'm aware of that currently allows you to configure scheduled searches for OW awards.

One side note- I'm getting a data access error "4002" when I try to run an award search. I couldn't find information on the site about it. Anyone getting a similar error this morning?

EDIT: It seems like the system will sporadically return results and alternate with the error message.

I am also getting this error intermittently at the moment, at least for OneWorld searches (haven't tried others).

Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, please provide a screenshot via e-mail.

Awards/CX no longer produces the nice clean results display that it used to.

E.g.:

It will -- just as soon as you download the latest version (V6.0.5).

Newbie Doubts

Hi!

Just downloaded KVStool (Platinum membership) and I'm still trying to understand how to take full advantage of it.

I have some questions and it would be really nice if some of you could answer them:

1. I understand the concept of availability but how can we relate the available classes with the fares?

2. When searching for fares we can only insert the outbound date even though we're looking for round trip flights. The fair shown is for the round trip or only one way? Are all the fares shown available?

3. If I want to book a specific flight with a specific fare which info shall I provide the airline agent? Dates, flight number and fare code?

3. I read in the tutorial that these don't include taxes; where can I calculate them?

I guess this is just the start... :)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers,
/R.

That would depend on the R/T / O/W selection option, located next to the date.

Sabre/Fares/TVN Not working

all city pairs i've tried, with all or specific airlines -
"Unable to Retrieve Fares: (Engine Error: Please try re-submitting your query)"...

Also - would it be possible to add ability to find fares between (Month) thru (Month) since the data source I think supports this?

Thanks.

crazycrab955 Jan 29, 2011 10:57 am

Updated to 6.0.7, and now I get the following error every time I close the tool:

"Unable to write to file. C:\Program Files (x86)\KVS Availability Tool\RegV2.dat [76] Path not found"

Went to the KVS folder in Program Files and indeed, there is no RegV2.dat file there. I have to re-enter my registration number each time I open the Tool in order to use it.

Have been a long-time user and this is the first time I'm seeing this. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still seeing this error. Any ideas?

Downloaded 6.0.7 and SABRE/GTC giving UNKNOWN for inventories. Any other way to check invent avail when this occurs? All other elements of KVS working OK

This issue has now been resolved. Please restart the Tool for the changes to take effect.

The [Fares/TVN] Method is intended to display all currently-published fares. [Fares/PSH] & [Fares/DotRes] contain the date validation functionality, if desired.
