Version 3.4.x: What's New
 
What's New in Version 3.4.0

To address the ongoing issues with Fares/DotRes engine, I am pleased to announce the introduction of the new [Galileo: Fares/PSH] Method, which will provide reliable access to premium cabin fares.

Access to this Method will be available to all Platinum-tier members with immediate effect, and I wish to thank existing members for their patience, while a solution was being implemented.
  1. New [Galileo: Fares/PSH] Method:

    • Correctly supports fare cabin type (Economy/Business/First) selection
    • Shows fares that are applicable to the specified outbound date.
    • Shows key Fare Rules information in the main view (Advance Purchase, Min Stay, Max Stay, Travel Period).

  4. Resolved: Amadeus: Timetable: Terminal number information is now available.

  5. Resolved: Sabre: Fares/DotRes US POS issue when specifying an airline.

Tried and seems to work OK.

Somehow, Sabre/ITN is not working.

Apollo/Worldspan are working.

(Have the latest edition installed, as of today)

Using Galileo/PSH I see these fares for LHR-PER on 1 AUG 09 on NZ

but these fares do not show up on airnewzealand.co.uk, or on itasoft, or using any of the other fare methods in KVS

so, do they exist?

What date are you searching for the return in your ITA/nz.com searches? The new method shows all fares based on that particular outbound date, but the return date will dictate what actual fare you get. It is a hybrid between the DotRes and the TVN methods in that regard.

Yes, these fares exist, but don't show-up by default on ITA due to an unusual routing.

To get them, enter:
From: LON :: HKG
To: PER :: HKG

All systems continue to function normally -- perhaps it was a transient issue...

Actually, it wasn't - off/on for the past 2 days (Friday/Sat Indian Standard Time)

Looks like a combination of systems not being in-sync, the POS factor, plus a schedule change..

I have found if you are searching with "**" in the airline(s) box, this frequently occurs. (gives the internet/time out error)

These types of issues have to do with your local system and/or network (incl. your ISP's network). As for the use of the "(All Airlines)" option, the more data there is to transfer, the higher is the chance of the local system/network issues manifesting themselves...

Again, there have been no issues with the ITN system itself (or the Tool) in the recent past.
