I agree with the other folks, is there a way to access the old user interface, like classic.expertflyer.com ?
The availability check that is restricted to 11 months is a disaster for award search, it was working great before.

ExpertFlyer Voice Jul 16, 2025 3:29 pm

Quick update:
1. We've identified the issue with flight availability saved queries. Some are showing up with empty classes. Fix should be up by tomorrow.
2. 12 month search for awards should be fixed by end of week.
3. We've also identified the issue with "deleted saved queries" appearing in your accounts. A fix for this should be up over the next couple of days.

Thank you to everyone who has reported issues. We'll continue to fix these over the next couple of days.

They should be ashamed. The same problems that have been reported for the other botched rollouts and UAT are still not fixed. I was initially going to keep EF, but there are other players in town these days. After decades I might finally be at the end of the road with them and jump ship when the next renewal comes up.

Am I missing something, I cannot get historical fares to work. The ticket date calendar is today or a date in the future?

After further digging, it appears that neither the web nor the mobile interface allow looking up historical fares (well, beyond say yesterday). Is that functionality that will be returned?

Who are you considering? Can you either list out here or DM me? also considering moving on...
thanks

Hey everyone - we are still looking into solutions for this but unfortunately does not look like it will be a quick one given the airlines' restrictions. We will update once we have a clear timeline.

Is there any timeline that's now available? I'm trying to follow along in the thread, but only see more notes on additional airlines with seat map issues.

I would also be interested in an alternative. Can you please either DM or list here?

ExpertFlyer Voice Seat maps for flights are still not taking my status into account.

Many of my saved seat map searches have lost the cabin class selection and so return nothing.

A cosmetic issue is that after logging on to expert flyer using a smart phone, the device UI requires scrolling down to the bottom to accessing the saved queries menu. It used to be an option immediately available upon logging on.

Moreover, "Recent Saved Queries" is poorly implemented on the device UI as you still need to scroll down. In any case it just lists them in sequential order - not those most recently used as one would have expected.

Look up a fare, click on fare rules, see lots of white (no text of fare rules is displaying).

Guys, what is going on, did you replace your engineering team with AI????

Hi,
I like the new layout, the new look and feel. And I think it is great that people are working on the site.

I understand there may be difficulties at the beginning and complaints, but letīs also see the positive side and letīs give the EF folks some time to absorb our feedback and solve the issues.
Who more than them wants us to be happy and use its functionality 100%?
Just my 2 cents. 🫡

So the new UI I get is going to be divisive. Fully understand that the back-end technology needs to be updated, refreshed, and made more secure - this is a good thing.

In terms of the UI, I do miss the use of fixed width fonts. It would be nice to have this as a user selectable option.
I am glad you're starting to use colours - this is a positive development. However might be good if you could use them to differentiate between First, Business, PE and Economy as well?

However in terms of core functionality, yes it's been pointed out that BA seatmaps not displaying in 24 hours is a key issue for me. The difference between blocked and occupied seats for LH Group is also an issue. Finally a new issue for me, and I think reported elsewhere is that I'm not able to list the detailed fare rules for anything. This is prety critical core functionality.

I also appreciate the updates here. I'm sure you guys have a Kanban board with all of the items on your backlog that you're working through. In the interests of transparency, it might be good to share an edited version of this as a page on the site, so we have a view of your roadmap and what fixes/enhancements are coming when?

Why can't it be possible to have the old site and the new site working in parallel while the new site is getting fixed?

jerry_greece Jul 17, 2025 4:15 am

Does anyone know any website (paid or not) that offers timetable support?

guy_listening Jul 17, 2025 8:43 am

As noted above, fare rules and routings do not populate when searching for fare information.

Also, please bring back support for searching historical fares - under the new UI it only allows to search for future dates.

TLDR: simply put, give us the old interface or I jump ship. I know at least a dozen other users in my small FF circle just as frustrated.

I scroll on mobile, and have used the tool text UI very efficiently. A new interface with dynamic menus that pop up at times will never be as efficient. color on avail search and newer (larger) icons just mean that relative power users will be slowed down. Less data fits on the screen.

We have the classic site workflow down pat. We can do this while we are running through a terminal, near zero/spotty mobile connectivity. With the phone to our ear dealing with an airline agent, tapping the text interface with one hand with muscle memory. It's efficient and rarely is a single step or input slowed down by needing to tap, scroll/refocus while any graphic or page element loads.

I understand why developers or survey results want to refresh stale or basic interfaces: attract new clients and make old boring back end code look new again rather than neglected.

please please don't alienate the many hands that have happily paid 9.99 a month. I never one paused my account, even as the world and leisure airline travel market imploded during 2020.

Reddit made a similar update years ago and soon gave in and spun up old.reddit com to please their core user group that helped them grow over the years. Many years later, old.reddit.com is alive and well.
