Also, please bring back support for searching historical fares - under the new UI it only allows to search for future dates.

I'm experiencing same problems – fare rules and routings are completely blank. I specifically subscribe to ExpertFlyer for ithe fare search capabilities. I dont mind some bugs in a new release but certainly don't expect core functions to be affected to this extent"

I am going to cancel and seek a cross charge from AMEX, and they will give it, if the core features I paid for this month do not return.
I am not paying for the limited feature set that is there, especially if you wont answer really simple questions about things like access to current or historical fare rules.
So EF Voice, get your act together pretty fast or you are likely to see a pretty catastrophic loss from your core community here.

Hey All - Quick update:
  • We identified an issue causing the fare rules and routing to not show in the UI. Our team is working on it and we expect to have a fix in place by tomorrow.
  • Similarly, we also expect to restore access to historical fares by tomorrow.
  • Air availability "empty" classes in saved queries should now be working fine for everybody.
Thanks for your patience as we work through these items.

Everyone gets it. The app and the new rollout has issues- EF Voice reads this forum, and has heard all of them. Over and over and over again.

At this point, there are two options:
1) Cancel your recurring charge, or your annual membership, and find another service
2) Deal with it until things get fixed

If you have identified new issues, post them here.

But the complaining, insults, slams, threats, etc., are not helpful, and are not adding any value to this thread.

How about seat maps, blocked seats against allocated, taking status into account?

ExpertFlyer Voice Jul 17, 2025 5:35 pm

Update:
  • The ability to search for availability for more than 330 days in advance has now been restored.
  • We are working on putting the finishing touches on restoring the ability to view historical fares, and expect this to be live by tomorrow
  • We also continue to be on track to restore fare rules and routing by tomorrow EOD
We will keep the updates coming as we make progress, and as soon as we push the changes live. Thank you all for your patience while we work through these.

OK, More on this. I think the saved queries are corrupted. The seat map generated from saved queries exhibit this issue but not so much for new queries. That is, if I do a new query or refine a saved query the return is better.

I wanted to add some perspective here, given the number of complaints I’ve seen.

First, to clarify—I am not affiliated with ExpertFlyer in any way other than being a regular customer paying the standard $99/year subscription.

Regarding the new user interface (UI), I have mixed feelings. The previous UI was extremely outdated, and the new one is definitely more modern. However, the design itself isn’t my main concern. My priority is that the site remains reliable, efficient, and provides comprehensive data access.

Initially, I shared the frustration many have expressed: why focus on updating the UI rather than improving critical features like adding Star Alliance award availability from a GDS source?

However, it’s important to recognize that the old ExpertFlyer site was built on Yahoo’s YUI library, which was discontinued in 2014 and has not received updates for over a decade. Maintaining such outdated technology isn’t practical or appealing to skilled developers. For ExpertFlyer to continue operating effectively, migrating to modern frameworks was necessary, and that inevitably involved updating the UI.

The new site is not just a "new UI" - it was completely rebuilt using React, a modern, actively maintained library supported and used by a large community of developers.

Could ExpertFlyer have done better with bug testing and gathering user feedback for the new design? Certainly. But overall, the update represents a significant and necessary improvement. Rather than insisting on reverting to an obsolete system—which won’t happen without sacrificing *any possibility* of ever seeing future enhancements—we should focus on providing constructive feedback, and having a bit of patience. This approach will better help ExpertFlyer develop a platform that serves everyone’s needs effectively.

Edited to add: As someone who's built multiple internet businesses - I'd say that I don't envy the position that the new EF Dev team and @ExpertFlyer Voice are in right now ... The site was basically abandoned by developers years ago, on autopilot for multiple years, and badly in need of paying down "technical debt". If we just act like a bunch of jerks towards the group of people who are trying to fix this - they are just going to quit and do something else, and ExpertFlyer will die.

I, for one, am very happy that the site is finally getting some love and attention at a time that it very clearly needed it.

Edit2: As far as people saying "They should just continue to run classic.expertflyer.com" ... It's not so simple ... Inevitably things would have had to change on the backend to make things like Alerts work in a modern way. This is part of why we are seeing bugs in those features. Essentially what you are demanding is that they not only fix the issues in the new site, but also re-architecht the old obsolete site to work with the new back-end. That's just not possible at this point. If EF went through a rewrite ten years ago when YUI was discontinued, that might have been reasonably possible ... but it's just not possible anymore.

Please add back the option on to “Search all available travel dates” on the Fare Information Search. This feature was extremely useful in finding the lowest base fare between city pairs - regardless of date/advance ticketing restrictions.

Hey there, sending you a DM!

Hey All - Sharing a quick update on our progress:
  • We completed the fix for Fare Rules and Fare Routing. You should now be able to see these just like you did before. If you are still experiencing issues with this, please let us know.
  • The ability to view historical fares has also been restored.
  • We're still working on fixing the seat map saved queries issue some of you have reported. This only affects saved queries transferred from our previous site - new saved queries are working normally.
Once again, thank you all for your patience as we work through these!

To the extent the historical fares function now shows a calendar that allows you to pick a ticketing date in the past, it is not working correctly. I just did a search using ticket date of Jan 27 and it displays some fares, but if you click on those fares and check out the fare routing rules you will see dates like this "CREATED 17JUL25" At least for that search, there are no historical fares being shown, only current fares like this one that obviously did not exist back on Jan 27, 2025.

I have been involved in IT my whole life, I have been a paid EF subscriber for many years. I have never complained about the tool that I can recall and have generally been happy with it and come to rely on its functionality to book things, save money, etc. I came to use EF after KVS became unreliable. This latest roll out is inexcusable, it is laughable and the notion that subscribers should deal with key pieces of functionality missing is unacceptable.
