For what flight? We're currently not receiving seat map data for BA for flights that are departing in the next 24 hours. Hope to have an update on whether or not we will be able to get this data back soon.

It looks like the seatmap does not differentiate between a blocked and a really occupied seat anymore. I was surprised that suddenly all row 1 seats in LH und OS A320s short haul are shown as taken instead of blocked for HON/SEN. Only that I could book those when real booking completed.
That provides a distorted picture and would be unfortunate if it will remain so permanently. |
Seats for the following BA flights were released today for 19 June 2026
LHR-LCA BA704, 706 and 708: Last row of Club and first 3 rows of economy all booked (not blocked) BA710: First 3 rows of economy all booked (not blocked) LGW-LCA BA2784: First 3 rows of economy all booked (not blocked) LGW-PFO BA2780: Last row of Club and first 3 rows of economy all booked (not blocked) I then selected PRG and BCN for the same date and received similar results. I’m assuming this might not be IT issues with BA/EF or a travel agent hedging their bets for a wedding party booking and perhaps it’s a new system to minimise the disruption caused by curtain roulette by portraying the seats as occupied? |

You would need to set an alert for each routing for an origin-destination pair, not each segment. If this is to add to a partner award, the entire route would need to be available in T or U, which is different than each segment being available independently in T or U. Also, the connection time between the arrival of the positioning itinerary and the departure of the partner award flight needs to be within 24 hours. Easiest to set the alerts by clicking the ! icon for each route on the Award and Upgrade Availability Results page.

No it seems like an EF issue - they are showing all blocked seats (on BA at least) as occupied. This is very unfortunate and combined with no seatmap results within 24hrs has made the product virtually worthless for me, hope it can get resolved but if the airlines do not make the data openly available nothing they can do

is there any update yet please? It really is infuriating. I suspect that it is being withheld to stop people being able to see the seat maps at check in. I do hope that I am mistaken.

Is there any update if EF can get the BA feed? I've heard it's under 'airport control' - is is true? |

Hey everyone - We hear you on the BA seat map issue. Unfortunately, we still don't have a clear timeline for when these will be back up. We'll keep you posted when we know more.

Seat maps for EY between AUH-YYZ-AUH (EY 21 and EY 22) are showing that the residence (first row of F on left side) is occupied every single day, which is a glitch.

Can confirm that Qatar seat maps are not available for two upcoming flights I have within the next 24 hours.
My guess is that seat alerts will also not be functional. |

Seat map problems -
CX - not showing blocked seats - everything is occupied QF - not showing dynamic (theoretical) seating after entered FFP with status - i.e. seats not showing as available but blocked, but is actually available to the passenger due to status (verified by checking seat map on QF website and app) |
