Error code: 431 Request Header Fields Too Large
Check to make sure you’ve typed the website address correctly.

Working fine on Safari.

We know the seat map QF seat maps issue is annoying but here is where we stand:
  • The "blocked vs occupied" seat issue is resolved, and all queries (new or saved) now properly recognize your status.
  • Business class seat maps aren't displaying correctly yet. We're actively working on this and will update you as soon as it's resolved.
We're making progress, but we're not done yet. Thanks for your patience while we get this sorted.

That is still not the case for the whole LH Group, SQ, NH etc, unfortunately. Seatmaps do not differentiate between blocked/occupied

Sending you a PM!

From a software engineering standpoint, the driving force may have been about replacing an obsolete and unsupported core platform, not necessarily new features.
Sometimes you need to temporarily step back to move forward.

I believe that there was some discussion on this upstream. As I recall the original website was running on old and unsupported technology. And we are also talking about restoring features that have been lost in the product over the last 3 or 4 years as well. My estimate is that the current product provides about one third of the functionality that the original version had.

Anyone? Is this gone? The email we got indicated that the mobile version would be where we would see the most improvements, yet it now appears to be gone entirely.

To update everyone on this issue. In the old version, there was a separate URL for the mobile version. In the new version, it detects your device and formats accordingly.

My issue is that I greatly preferred the mobile version on my iPad. But it now interprets my iPad as a desktop device and directs me to the desktop version. My iPhone directs correctly, but not my iPad.

I’m sure there’s a techbro way to have my iPad present as a mobile device, but I am not savvy enough to know how to do that.

As of today these issues with QF seats maps appear to have been rectified.

One thing I have found with the new UI is the saved query dropdowns do not update/reload after new queries are saved or old ones are deleted. I realise it is an aspect of how the new interface works with the objects/elements being loaded at login rather than at every page update as the old interface would do.

Right now I'm getting
"500 Internal Server Error"
When trying to get to the home page.

Are you using an existing browser session/tab? If so either clear tour expertflyer.com cookies or use a different browser. That fixed the 500 errors for me.

There's some upcoming new A3 routes where the date they will start being sold hasn't been specified, can I use ExpertFlyer to alert me when they are launched on GDS? Or do alerts only work on existing routings?

Very pleased to see that QF business class seat maps were working again. Thanks to the people who have been working diligently to get this fixed.

Wanted to point out that currently QF 787-9 seat maps are showing seats 1E and 1F as available when in fact these seats don’t exist on that business class configuration. I believe the same is true for seats 16E/F on the A380.

There is a way to have your browser ask EF for the mobile site, but I tried using that in Chrome and Safari on my iPad and the website gave me an error. Perhaps someone more knowledgable can explain how EF is determining your browser and serving up the appropriate site so that we can change the browser identification accordingly.

Not sure if this (minor) issue with the new site has been noted.
I have a lot of seat map queries saved; when I click on the 'saved queries' a drop down appears, with a scroll bar to the right.
Any mouse action I take at the scroll bar - the drop down disappears...

Work around: (a) use keyboard arrows / page down (which breaks my work-flow), or (b) go from the 'View saved queries' page, opening new tabs for each query.

Also, some of the saved seat map queries (not all of them) have lost the cabin class selection, and the returned page is blank - a 'refine query' to select cabin(s) and re-save the query works.

Anyone getting this error message on EF?
Edit: never mind. It is just a Chrome issue. Works in Incognito mode and works using Edge

It seems as if the ability to export availability results (paid or award) is gone. Are there any plans to restore this ability? It was previously handy to be able to export to Excel.
