Seat Maps: we're currently not able to show seat maps for flights departing within the next 24 hours for several airlines: DL, BA, QR , ANA, B6, & JL
Searches currently not working:
  • Upgrades - AY, BA, EK, EY, IB, QR, VS
  • Awards - AY, BA, IB, EY, QR, VS

To search AA upgrades:
  • Use the Award & Upgrade tool
  • Only search for individual segments (set the "Connection Preference" drop-down to "Direct/Non-Stop only"). Flight results that are part of a connection won't show the upgrade version of C or A inventory because AA only files upgrade inventory as individual, not married, segments. (Married segments show revenue inventory instead of upgrade inventory.)
  • To avoid confusion, check the "Exclude Codeshares" box, as AA awards and upgrades are not valid on codeshares.

AA does not confirm C upgrades that EF says are available

I keep searching EF for flights with available Business upgrades (C). EF will show, say, 7 C available, but AA will not confirm these upgrades and only put me on the wait list. This is months in advance. What does C 7 actually mean on EF? Am I misunderstanding the information EF is providing? I want to confirm Systemwide Upgrades in June before booking but I can't find any international C upgrades available on AA.

If the flight you are looking at is part of a connection, you have to do the search segment by segment to see the correct upgrade C inventory, otherwise AA returns the paid C inventory. If you need further help then email us the details.

It seems the place to enter a discount code pending renewal has disappeared and I cannot find where to enter it.

When I try to search visa, health, and passport, I'm getting an error message "Unable to retrieve data from server." Is that a problem on the ExpertFlyer or TIMATIC side?

The details that are causing this error message:
Citizenship: USA
Residency: USA
Departing: Various countries, including UAE and Uzbekistan
Arriving: Russia

We just did a Visa, Health, Passport search and it worked. If you're still having problems please email us thanks.

I am really confused now on what the C count in EF means? I always thought it meant the number of seats available for a Business Class upgrade (miles or SWU). If I pay cash for it, I didn't think of that as an upgrade but rather a ticket price increase. I have read posts by many stating that they saw C count of 1 on EF and called the airline to claim and confirm the upgrade.

What is the meaning of the C count, or for that matter the A count for First?

For now, it appears if you no longer have an active subscription and are trying to activate a subscription.

There are 2 versions of C now, depending upon which search you do.

BA award search

I've been trying to search for BA award inventory all week and keep getting the message "BA award inventory is temporarily unavailable due to an issue with our data provider. They are actively working to fix the issue. Thank you for your patience" Same when I try Iberia.

Any idea how long it might be until this is fixed? While the monthly payments are relatively small, it's frustrating not being able to use a service I'm paying for.

Cheers!

We don't have an ETA at this time, however if you prefer to cancel your subscription and be notified when BA awards are restored, just send us an email.

New to Expert flyer tool. How can we find the Business/First class Inventory available to Complimentary Upgrades Vs SWU upgrades available for American Airlines. or everything falls into Business - Upgrade (Including 2-Cabin Domestic First) (C)?

AA removed the visibility of complimentary upgrade inventory (now 'R', used to be 'X').

So now does "C" includes the complimentary upgrades or "C" is just SWU inventory ?

'C' is a dual-use inventory. If you do an Award and Upgrade query and specify direct/non-stop only, 'C' indicates inventory for SWU and miles + copay upgrades. If you do a Flight Availability query or an Award and Upgrade query and see connecting flights, 'C' indicates discount business class inventory. The same thing applies for 'A' but for first class.

Is there is known issue with Qatar and Etihad airlines award inventory in Expert Flyer as I have checked for different dates and I am getting the same error message "award inventory is currently unavailable and we are working to restore it.". Any idea when this will be fixed.

I just signed up for ExpertFlyer. Trying to book a trip form the US to Nairobi, Kenya around April 1st. Searching for 3 (Qatar, British Airways, Emirates) of my 4 airline options come back with an error.
"award inventory is temporarily unavailable due to an issue with our data provider. They are actively working to fix the issue. Thank you for your patience."

Please when do you expect this to be fixed? It's basically unusable for me now.

Thanks
