NA RES as well. It seems to be EX BKK Multi & Openjaw.
NA Res says there are lots of problems, may take weeks to work them out.
I guess SQ hired the UA website developers to update their site.
The UA web developer is probably offer a *A Group rate

Could it be the worm that effected Windows 2000 several days ago?

Problems have been there before the Worm effect.

Oh I see. Must be problems with SQ's own computer solely then.

Some of my itins now partially work online - at least bring back a fare, but unable to book. Other itins (relatively simple) still wont even bring back a fare.

Another oddity is when system brought back fare but couldnt complete I had to phone in, and got a lower tax amount (identical base fare) - not sure how?

Naturally local office is run off their feet and so takes a long time to get through. They are also feeling our frustrations.

I wonder how much business SQ is losing as a result?

Really annoying !

Without knowing the fare sub-class, how does one know whether the ticket is upgradable ? But since it says you are able to accrue xxxx miles, I assume I can use miles to upgrade (?)

And where is the seat map now

If you mean seat selection - I'm not sure - since the upgrade I havent been able to get that far with any bookings.

Or do you mean seat layout? If so then I dont know where this has been moved to. SQ website search also seems to be broken

Cabin layouts are here (though it's still a work in progress...)

Yes, if you can accrue miles, you may use miles to upgrade. Supposedly, there is a link for 'See Complete Fares & Conditions' on the payments page, but it isn't one of the four options there. And none of the four options, as far as I can see, shows the fare code.

As MovieMan pointed out, the seatmaps are now here, though I have to figure out how to get it to magnify the view. I haven't been able to find the seatmaps for a specific flight.

These two items are the subject of my latest email feedback / inquirty . Will report back on their responses to my questions.

It's certainly dampening my desire to book flights right now. I don't want to pay the credit card charges assessed by a travel agent.

Oh well, at least the ability to link to a specific page of the website has at least made re-writing the FAQ easier.

I emailed three times (different issues) to SQ but yesterday, SQ Reservations actually called me to help me sort out the problems. They were quick to offer alternatives as well. ^

If you let the picture load and then hover your mouse on the bottom right of the picture, a 'resize' button will pop up. Granted that, the resized picture is still too small. FWIW, I usually use seatmap.com.

Here's the response to my questions (in which I asked whether the upgrade had taken away the ability to see (1) specific flights' seatmaps and (2) the fare code):

"Please call our reservations on 0870 608 8886 and they will be able to assist you."

(Interestingly, unlike in previous emails, this time the message did not contain a specific person's name at the bottom. It was signed off with "Regards, Singapore Airlines".)

This is really frustrating - I was able to price a trip LAX-DPS with a SIN stopover last week, but now I can't. It seems that the multi-city function only spits out the lowest priced options. As such, it is impossible to book the Executive Economy flights in conjunction with a stopover. And it'd be my first SQ flight too . . .
