You are probably correct! I just realized that I haven't been able to use web check-in since the new site is up. What did I do wrong? or is it just bad timing? I just tried and got "Our website is experiencing difficulties at the moment and we are unable to process your request. We apologise for the inconvenience caused." Is there anything wrong with my pc?

Given all the trouble the new website has been having, I would say it's likely not your pc, especially if you got that error message. I just tried it again and got the list of booked flights without any problem. Maybe it's because I'm accessing it from SIN?

IF you like me still find the on-line reservation a PITA send a formal complaint to SIA.

The e-mail address is [email protected]

Its very annoying that multi-city fares (at least ones Ive tried) don't work properly and that to get itineraries fixed you end up either telephoning SIA or turning up to the service centre - both of which cost you fees. I meet with two service centre agents today and both confessed that they had been barraged with complaints about the on-line system.

Its also a shame that there is not better co-ordination between SIA and its *A partners over pricing and special deals. To cite one ridiculous example Y SIN-AKL return is SG$ 1540 (incl. tax), Y SIN-WLG return is SG$ 3137 (incl. tax). The reason the additional AKL-WLG sector, all 479km of it [and despite it having an SQ flight number on *A NZ metal] denies the discounted SIN-AKL sector. The result a full fare on both sectors

Those that are PPS I suggest feeding complaints through your co-ordinator. They are as fed up as we are but we need to give them the feedback.

BTW once the site is finally fixed I will be tallying how much business SQ has lost during this period and sending this through too.

Can someone please explain this issue I am having with the SQ web booking engine?

What I want to do: Travel from KUL-SFO on separate days with a fewer than 24 hour stopover/layover in SIN.

Day X
SQ117 KUL-SIN

Day Y
SQ2 SIN-SFO

The SQ website Stopover/Multi-city search will not allow me to price that on separate days, but the One Way seach will allow me to price it provided that all of the travel is on the same operating day (which, is not what I am looking for). Is there a way around this? I have tried specific flight time (and not) for the multi city search but to no avail.

I have submitted a web feedback survey as well as an email to the North American web support address, but I have not heard anything back.

I have also called the North American web support desk and the person said that the website would not allow it for her either but that I could make the exact same reservation through the (800) reservations number. Of course, if I wanted to, I could book this on ITN or Travelocity or even call the (800) number, but I am just wondering why I cannot select these same flights on their own website. The fare and city pairs are obviously loaded because I can book the same itinerary for the same day.

Does anyone know why I am unable to do this through their website? Thanks in advance.

Multi-city is still broken. On some occassions I have been able to get it booked by email but on others the suggestion was to book a series of one-way trips

Thank you for the reply.

The above is not an option for me because KUL-SIN-HKG-SFO prices out night and day less expensive than KUL-SIN (OW) and SIN-SFO (OW) as separate tickets.

Just to clarify it was SQ who suggested one-way trips. I also found that odd and not terribly practical, but am still working on it.

No worry, I knew what you meant.

I just plugged in the exact itinerary I wanted on united.com and it let me build it and price it correctly as a Multi-city search. I didn't book it, but I just find it frustrating that I can do it on any other site I look to, other than SQ's.

Hooray!

The multi-city option works much better now! ^ I was able to check what the airfare to the 2006 Bali DO would cost me if I booked right now , allowing for a multi-day stopover in SIN on the way back to LHR.

The website still can't seem to handle BKK turnarounds, and the new method of bundling your options for you feels more cumbersome than the old way, in which you constructed your multi-city trip yourself.

It's about time, SQ.

Not for me. I am still unable to perform a simple KUL-SIN-SFO for two separate calendar days.

I tried KUL-SIN 18 Nov SIN-SFO 19 Nov in Y, it worked. Gave me the options for less than 24 hours stopover which is about MYR2,908 and with a stopover is about MYR3,860 before taxes.

Strange. When I try your dates for economy it works, but when I plug in the same dates for first I get the message:
There was no result found for the search criteria. Please change your criteria and resubmit.
I have not checked every date for December, but the dates that I am looking out do not come up in either economy or first (using the USA site).

I have checked for specific times and anytime, and I cannot get search results either way.

Any suggestions?

Well, I have similar problem for C and F. Multi-city can not give any fares for SIN-KUL-SFO. Nov or Dec or Jan eventhough in Amadeus it shows F and C availability.
