Certainly seems that BKK is a particular problem at the moment. Are people having problems on routes not involving BKK?

Yes - tried several routings and not working on any of them.

The problem for me is that I collect miles on my BD card, not KF. Therefore to OLCI I have to book on the website . Otherwise, I would happily call the local office here in London which has always been extremely helpful in the past.

PhilH, are you sure about that? The online FAQ on OLCI states
What is Internet check-in?
Singapore Airlines is pleased to present our Internet check-in service, a convenient way to check in for most of your flights. You may check in for a flight if you have a confirmed booking with Singapore Airlines and have a valid ticket. Internet check-in is available for all booking and ticket types.
and
Who can use Internet check-in?
Internet check-in is available to all Singapore Airlines passengers with the exception of the categories of passengers below:
  • Passengers under the age of 12 who are travelling alone (unaccompanied minors)
  • Passengers under the age of 17 who are travelling with passengers under the age of 17
  • Passengers who have indicated for special or medical assistance to be provided
  • Passengers who are travelling with infants
  • Passengers travelling in a group of 10 or more
I don't see any exclusion based on FFP and how you booked. The OLCI page only asks for the name of the passenger, the booking reference and SQ flight details.

Perhaps you could check with the UK SQ reservations, just to make sure, before making the booking?

So much for the BKK theory. I substituted my real destination for BKK in multi city and it worked. Unfortunately my real destination still doesnt work. Seems only some fares are loaded properly into the booking engine.

jjpb3, thanks. That's changed since March then, when you could only OLCI if you were a KF member, or had an account on singaporeair.com and had booked online.

Don't remember when, but non-KF member can do on-line check-in. I did it for a friend who is LH M&M member. The web asked for SQ confirmation record locator, and/or exact name.
Then later on, you will see the FF program, where you can put your BMI, then the no...

OK, multi-city sort of works for me now. What I was trying to do was:

2 Dec LHR-SIN
5 Dec SIN-BKK
11 Dec BKK-SIN-LHR

Now, on the 11 Dec, I was trying to get the early morning connecting dayflight (SQ61 and SQ320) which was OK on the old system, but this is what the new booking engine cannot find a fare for (or any combination of BKK-SIN-LHR fares on the 11 Dec).

However, if I do the BKK-SIN on the day before, i.e. 10 Dec, and keep the LHR-SIN dayflight on the 11 Dec, then it prices out perfectly.

A further annoyance is that the website doesn't show the fare code anymore. You can only see whether a cheap economy ticket is eligible for miles after you have put basic details in and it appears on the screen where you put payment details in. Annoying.

Dead right - bloody annoying! Booked a recent trip and also had to call SQ reservations to confirm booking class.

So far from what I have experienced. Open Jaws and multi trips have worked ex-CGK and ex-NA, but ex-BKK is still experiencing several problems.
