Some functionalities are also not working for me yet -- I can't seem to see availability of LHR-MNL flights. The loading speed is still pretty slow as well.

The layout so far seems more intuitive (so that, for example, you can immediately find out about aspects of the inflight experience -- they even have a Top 5 FAQ in the 'Before You Fly' section!), and the colors much cooler on the eyes. If you notice just how small the font is and yet how readable the pages are, you realize how well-designed the pages seem to be. Overall, my impression is that of an update that turned the website into something sleeker and with a more modern feel (assuming all the functionalities soon start working for me).

But about the dominance of gray and light blue: does that signal a change away from the dark blue corporate color of the past?

i think that every project need to be tested online to adjust it definetely. So, about speed and functionalities, i'd prefer to give some days to IT team to fix all the problems
Let's wait and then we'll judge

p.s.

It's not bad...

There are a few errors (I have a web development background, so these things kind of jump out at me). The SIA logos have been poorly rendered, and there are several table spacing issues. The navigation is also a little messy imho.

It's a nice site, but for a comlete overhaul they could have done a lot better.

So far, I like it, and the local fare deals are nice. I also like the date and day of week selection on the main page. Bummer about the flight details though. When selecting SQ 989 it tells me: SQ 989 Non-stop

Also, way cool new Route map. Still a few quirks, but much nice than the previous one, and much better than most other airlines.

Still very much a WIP. I can't get the multi-city option to work - before even showing me flight options it says "There was no fare found for the search criteria. Please change your criteria and resubmit". Also, one of my existing online bookings is greyed out - and the date indicated under the "Travel Date" column is incorrect.

I'd say give it a week or two until all these bugs are ironed out.

I can now do bookings. I should've known the IT team wouldn't take their sweet time fixing things. My faith wasn't as strong as yours, Luke.

Like NWA_5479, I like some aspects of the booking process (e.g., being able to see the day of the week immediately as I select a date; the compact way of seeing how the fare changes if I were to vary the outbound and inbound dates) but not others (I liked the simpler stopover option on the old website).

*sigh* Time to re-write sections of the FAQ ... I feel some temperamental fits and starts coming.

P.S. Hope to see you in London, Luke.

Ok, just logged into the singaporeair.co.uk website.

I liked the new look but some pointers

Some Positives
  1. Linear website browsing experience - easier to navigate
  2. Modern - fresher look
  3. Interactive Route Map

Some Negatives
  1. I would have thought they would have used their signature dark navy colour as the banner on which the SQ logo sits.
  2. Some links do not work - eg local fare deals.
  3. Sectors required for PPS Club qualification is wrong. (I need 40425!- I almost fainted! )
  4. Does not tell you PPS requalification period.

Post post message:-
Just re-logged in to SQ site and guess what, ... Almost all the negatives I mentioned had been fixed . All in the matter of 30mins or so after I gave SQ a website feedback. That's superfast.

At www.singaporeair.com, I'm still getting the "we're upgrading" maintenance page with the Singapore Girl who let her hair down. She must still be knee-deep in servers.

I don't like the gray colour they use for a chunk of the new site's background. A little overy-dull IMO.

Continuing with feedback on the new website (and hoping SQ lurkers will take some of our comments onboard) ...

I wholeheartedly agree with SQFAN and NWA_5479 on this: the interactive route map is niiice.

I think SQ should re-think the absence of the familiar dark blue color. The gray font could've been made dark blue and thereby become more readable. The golden pigeon / falcon / goose doesn't quite stand out as much against the gray background.

The PPS Club sector requalification requirement is clearly a bug. Not even the suggestions on the PPS run thread can save you from those numbers, eh, SQFAN?

I did browse KrisShop (naturally ). A good re-design, IMO, except for the gray font which strains my eyes. But I'm curious: do people actually buy this item, and through mail order?

How about some items that are more portable instead, like SQ coffee mugs or Raffles Class glasses (sort of in the vein of CX business class salt and pepper shakers)?

StarG and I were talking yesterday about what to get with our renewal vouchers. That massager sounds like the perfect thing!

Seriously, no major complaints (yet) with the new site. I like that they made the PPS membership guide as a downloadable PDF. I don't think they had that before.

Does that mean we get an invitation to try out the massager when you and/or StarG buy it? (Yes, I conveniently ignored the latter, more serious half, of your post. )
