Second day venison, so another Saint Julien, as well as finally finishing up the Sauternes after day 4 of seared foie gras

Delicious dinner by homechef of Lynnette ‘ s Kitchen
Our dinner menu by violinist friend former concertmaster and classmate , Lynnette SEAH , September 5 , for some of her friends :

1 : Bakwan Kepiting soup , pork , crabmeat , prawn , fresh bamboo shoots meatballs in homemade chicken soup with daikon strips

2 : Roast Lamb shoulder marinated with Moroccan spices and port wine sauce

3 : Asparagus and Broccolini with sun-dried tomatoes

4 : Laksa Prawns and Spanish spicy chorizo Tagliatelle with laksa herb pesto ( new dish created for the occasion)

5 : Buah Keluak Prime Pork Ribs stew
6 : Nasi Ulam with butterfly blue pea flower essence and freshly julienne herbs and ginger flower

7 : Lynnette ’ s Special Tiramisu with lots of love and Baileys and rum

Olive-fed Wagyu, reverse seared on Big Green Egg. Served with duck fat, roasted garlic rosemary potatoes and broccolini.

Paired with Aonair cab franc.

Delicious margherita with added burrata at Si Cara in Cambridge, MA - it wasnt quite Neapolitan as the crust was much crispier than I would expect but was still delicious in its own right

Grilling this weekend - yesterday a rack of ribs w/corn on the cob and coleslaw paired with a 2022 DryCreek Zinfandel and today, grilled prime tenderloin w/potatoes and green beans paired with a 2022 Kirkland Saint Emilion.

This can definitely take more age and I wouldn't want it much younger (as is the case in general with Saint Juliens), but well aerated it was a good fit for seared venison. Saint Julien is one of those varietals that I have a very specific pairing, venison.

After last nights meat fest, balanced it out with king salmon and broccolini on the egg. Paired with 2023 Heitz sauv blanc.
