My Father would love to have to be able to select a steak knife, that is the one thing he is always particular about when he is at my house and I cook for him, often I will hand him utensils with the dish as he sits in front of the TV and I will often get a request for a specific knife he prefers.

Is it really "all that?". Sometimes the wait looks like the gestational period of an elephant.

After the discussion about the Kirkland Pauillac figured it made sense to pair the aforementioned Kirkland Saint Emillon with tonight’s grilled prime strip. As previously noted, it does drink a lot better now (although it also will appreciate some extra age) and does pair with the strip, but a properly matured Pauillac would a bit better for strip, Saint Emillon better for Tendeloin, Ribeye, if one were nitpicking wine pairing wise

A bowl consisting of...

•Baked steelhead drizzled w/avocado oil and s+p
•Pan seared brocollini and grape tomatoes dressed with lemon vinaigrette reduction
•steamed Cali organic brown rice

Steelhead is claimed to be in the trout family by some, Pacific salmon by others. I just call it delicious! The avocado oil isn't really to benefit the fish, as it's naturally high-fat, but rather to be infused by the fish for drizzling. The slight nuttiness of the rice topped with just charred veggies creates a literal flavor-catching bed for the drippings from the salmon pan. To say nothing of the salmon itself!

Mr. George, Johannesburg Melrose Arch - eating outside in the 55 degree weather is such a treat in August :-) - my 3 lemon and herb chicken breasts were balanced with my healthy choices of French fries (yummy) and churros (yummy) with salted caramel sauce
