When in Europe, I must do as the Europeans do and enjoy the local delicacies! Talk about a Mediterranean diet!

Margherita di bufala and tiramisu at Majstor I Margarita (Al fresco) in Belgrade - dont fear as I fed one of the local dogs who was nuzzling up to me some of the delicious crust - talk about being on a diet!

Today and tomorrow’s dinner is casual and my version of “Spaghetti” and Meat Sauce (I prefer rotini pasta and my sauce has a consistency a lot closer to a stew) accompanied with a 2021 Kirkland Chianti Classico (1/2 cup of which is included in the sauce and also great to sip on while it simmers, hence the sauce splashes on the stemware ) and of course a generous amount of Parmesan Reggiano. The one downside is typically I use Ground American Wagyu and didn’t have any so picked up Ground Angus at HT coming back from polo yesterday as I didn’t want to go up to Costco on a Saturday morning)

Burrata and prosciutto pizza at Restoran Bottega in Galerija Beograd (an incredibly trippy experience in Europe) - the burrata was lovely, but they put on too much prosciutto

Lovely slices of pizza at Pizza Madre in Belgrade - both of these came out to a total of less than 7 USD - delicious - especially the truffle cream and bresaola

Leftovers ftw!

sundat late night pizza & soda

Monday Chinese food from mama jis
Monday late night pizza & soda

im gobbling my high inventory of leftover pizza. Ive had more sugar free and normal soda this year compared to most years and I know its only because Ive been getting it for my son and his high school gatherings at the house. Pre high school he completely eschewed soda because we were just never drinking it at home. Now Im stocking 3-4 cases of it while stocking 8 cases of sparkling waters used to just be all sparkling waters.

Pizza with too much cheese (who knew) at Imperatore in Sarajevo - the staff were lovely, though - should have gotten a Margherita instead - only 15 KM (Convertible Mark, not kilometre) though :-)
