Question E-Rewards HH and LaQuinta

I have seen others comment on cashing in for HH and LaQuinta points but those 2 don't show as an option for my account. I usually cash in for PC. Does anyone know how I can get HH and LQ added to my account?

If you signed up through PC you can't. You'll only see the hotel chain you signed up with, but you'll see all airline partners.

If you signed up via an airline, you'll see all hotel partners, but only the airline you signed up with.

And if they discontinue the relationship you signed up under, you generally get every redemption option available. I've got all United States options because I signed up under Delta, and that redemption option ended 12/31/2012.

Thanks!! That explains why I'm not seeing HH or LQ. I'll sign my wife up with an airline. Thanks again.

No, you can't. From this year only points from stays count for status.

Actually e-rewards redemptions count toward PC status as a 'qualified partner' or something like that. My 4K points via e-rewards from early March are showing up on my ledger as counting.

2013 Year-to-date Summary
Elite Qualifying Points Earned:
4,000
Elite Qualifying Nights:
0
Only 15 more qualifying nights or 16,000 more points to earn Gold Elite.

Weirdly, that isn't always true. I signed up through an airline, and have always had the option of depositing miles with other airlines. Maybe I'm just lucky.

EDIT: Actually, what beachmouse said above may apply to me--I think I signed up under Continental just before the merger with United was complete. I always had everything, so I think it was just very, very good timing!

Sweeeeet! I got an offer this morning for a $15 survey and actually qualified for it. I had to watch a pilot episode of a new series coming to ABC and then answer a few questions. The show as 45 minutes long, and maybe 20 more minutes of questions, but it was actually FUN! I've never said that about a survey Plus that equates to redeeming 300 AAdvantage miles.

Yep, you were just plain lucky but never admit to that!

Just as Peewee did, always say:

NYC market is excluded from point redemption. Anywhere else, I generally found standard (not anytime) availability is hard to find in major metro markets.
fungirl I know what you are going through now. My first Hertz points e-Reward took 2 days to post. This time, I made a redemption April 1st and the points are not yet in my Hertz acct. I contacted them after 3 weeks and after no response for 2 weeks I contacted them again less then a week ago. Now I just got 2 responses that the redemption takes 6-8 weeks. OK so we are at 5.5 weeks. I guess they expect me to contact them again in 2.5 weeks?!?!

It's just a pain it is so inconsistent. I have been with them since October 2000 and never had issues before which is good but I don't know why some Hertz redemptions would take 2 days and others would go on for weeks or months in fungirls case.

fungirl did you ever get your issue resolved? Did they deposit the points?

Same here, redeemed e-rewards on April 1st to my Hertz account. Past transactions were completed in a timely manner. This time nada. I am planning to wait the full 8 weeks before contacting them, but l guess we are seeing a trend. Has anyone recently completed a transfer to Hertz and points posted into their account? Reading the previous post from fungirl it looks like an uphill battle.

I wonder if the fact we did it on April 1st is the issue because they were bombarded. My previous one was end of January. Other companies state one redemption every 90 days but with Hertz it is once per quarter so if you did not redeem in January or February you could redeem in March and then again in April as they are two different quarters.

My roommate redeemed end of March and the points were in her account within a couple days.

rookie10 if you could keep me updated on your situation and I will do the same. I didn't know it was 6 to 8 weeks. All my various e-Rewards redemptions have gone through within a week.

For the next Hertz redemption I will probably wait until end of July since it doesn't matter when in the quarter you do it, you still can only redeem once per quarter.

I redeemed for Hertz in mid-April, it took about 3 1/2 weeks to post, I think once per quarter does make it very heavy in early Jan, April, July and October, so maybe waiting a couple of weeks is worth it.

Best,

IIRC, my Hertz points eventually posted after a few months and long after I wrote off any possibility of ever getting them. But it was a lesson learned to never again redeem e-rewards for Hertz points. The aggravation is just not worth it. Too bad that it is the only way to get Hertz points without actually renting a car.
