no I canot tell you what windows of time to do the loads and the $$ amount that fall under the automatic computer checksum flags because i made a promise to my uncle who works for incomm, after he told me the secrets to steer cloear. you can imagine the problems it would cause in my family if i told the secrets.

it is written in the prophesies of nostradomus that on the 572nd page of this thread, the universal secrets of MVD will be revealed to the world.

Well, I had three cards and now I have none. I did more damage with my GB card than with three MVD :(

Same answer every time, you cannot load and then unload. Weird thing is that for the third card, I did not even unload quickly. However, I was loading and unloading a week or two later - still no care. Two went into spend down mode and one was a check (AKA shutdown mode).

They got me last night too... Just one though. Other two accounts are open and active. Weird thing is that the one closed was NOT the last card I used for MO's/paying Citi.... No spend down either--could not get into my online account, called, and was notified. They said the card would still work, but no online access.

Seems like they may be on a closing binge... Oh well, I'll just pick up another one! :D

are you saying that all 3 MVDs combined you never loaded more then $2500 in any 24 hr period, nor combined went over the max limits on the unloading side? or that per acrd you didnt max out but combined you did

In my case (was put into spend down mode last week on my first and only card so far), I loaded $2500 over three weeks. Never more than $500 a day. All purchases or money orders (I did two legit purchases). Never pulled out more than $975 in one day/transaction. I also let money age a bit (i.e., load on Monday and Tuesday and do MO on Friday. NO CAs at all.

In my experience, yes.

mensday Mar 3, 2014 5:56 pm

so I have 2 MVD cards and I have been loading $500 a day on each. I have done one $2.5K advance so far. After reading this thread it seems that a quick shutdown is inevitable. So wouldn't the best strategy be just to load the cards up as much as you can before the shutdown?

Yup, and then get a new card and go again! :)

How would one stay motivated to do that? One shut down seems enough (for me, anyway).

For me, on the MVD website, it shows Citi payment as POS. That's the same as using your MVD at any store. Correct? Point of sale.

Online, is your Citi payment categorized as POS and MVD people told you the Citi payment was something else? As in a CA?

After spend down mode. Do you call in to CXL the cards, or just buy new ones and register online?

If online register does not work, then the call in, what should you expect from the agent?
