Anyone have answers to such questions?
I'd CA at my bank, but I guess you can try anywhere. |
So once you buy a MVD you can CA the temp card or register it and get a real debit card and continue to load. Once your maxed in loads you'll be put in spend down mode. At this point you need to CA the entire balance or buy MO or ATM withdraw.
Shut downs or account closures are related to irregular spending patterns just like we all know will happen. If you find a bank that will CA the temp card is there any reason to not continue buying temp cards? I see MVD cards everywhere I live so that shouldn't be a problem buying more. |

This probably just re-confirms what's already been reported, but I CA's $2.5k earlier this week. Went back to the bank today to CA $2.5k more, transaction was denied. Card was already in SD mode.
Will try again 7+ days from the original CA to see if it is a weekly or monthly limit. |
one CA per card/montly

Like I said, I see racks temp MVD cards. Unless there is an issue with them registering them at activation what would be the problem?

Actually go through with the process yourself and you will understand what I am saying.
What options do you have unloading the Temp MDV when you have 3x MDV already registered? I've tried debit paying Citi with an unregistered MDV and not go. What options are there for unloading a Temp MDV? Thanks. |
Just a data point with the objective of making MVD work.
MVD1 : closed some time ago after 2-$500 loads in a day, spend down mode, web avail MVD2 : closed this week, did 1-$500 load daily, closed after I exceeded $5000 balance, no other activity other then loading, close method was web lockout MVD3 : attempting to keep #3 alive with max daily loads of $500. Plan to keep balance under $5000. Will likely WM BP $2500 at $4k balance and see if I stop tripping their limits. I'm interested if anyone has gotten MVD #4 and I mean the permanent card. Thanks. |

Me too rejected by citi so that's a dead end. Maybe perm card will work? 4. use it as regular credit card and pay 50 cents per transaction? last one to leave please turn off the lights. |

1. you get an error when you register #4 perm card.
I meant.. Unloading a Temp MDV after you get an error (because you already have 3x MDV registered) And you answered:

So, if one or more of my 3x registered MVD gets shut down, can I call in, have the card CXL and open up a new temp and register the new one? |
Straight from the MVD website:
What are the ATM withdrawal and load limits on the MyVanilla Card? You can load a maximum of $500.00 per day onto your Card, and there is a $2,500.00 total maximum deposit limit per day from all deposit sources (loads and ACH direct deposits). The daily ATM withdrawal limit is $400.00. Please review the online Cardholder Agreement for the most up–to–date information about your MyVanilla Card Reordered a 2nd MVD. The first time I had this card I never used it. So looks like I'm up to card #2. |
Closest Wally to me is over 30 miles. Next problem is all MO vendors I have found will only accept cash other than USPS. MVD charges $1.95 for USPS MO’s. The amount of the charge is not a problem. My concern is that the purchase of a USPS MO is reflected as a CA. Does anyone know if this is the case? If in fact USPS MO purchases are seen as CA’s what is the best advise for draining a MVD card. I am not trying to MS for points, my objective is to meet minimum spend on four AA Exec cards. While I have two BB accounts I need a little more. Thanks for any advise.
