The first pin that you type in when you do your first transaction is the pin it will be set to.

I've always done this for all of my temporary MVD cards. They're made under the same people as OV's, so it would make sense that they have the same transactional manners.

The minute I get my temp. MVD cards, I go straight to an ATM (using the PIN technique I mentioned) and then wait until I get my permanent one.

So yes, I am sure.

so may be i am confusing it, you can cash a temp mvd from atm by using random 4 digit pin? why wait for your permanent card if you drained it?

This can go for any temporary card... Most likely the case is that you want a card with your name on it.

I will say that when I started I got OV's and MVD's confused and bought a bunch of MVD's so I needed a way to liquidate them and that's what I did. Knowing what I do now, I should have kept them all and activated them! :)

i was put in spend down mode because i made a debit payment to citi which they say its a cash advance i never went to a bank it was my first time using the card.

Well I successfully drained my #6 under a friends name. Loaded it to just under $10k. Did MOs only and the acct is still active. I watched very carefully not to hit any of their max limits and didnt MO any 2 consectutive days

Wont reload again till 1 week before I will start to unload again. Since Im not sure if the monthly max is rolling or not , I will assume it is so no unloading till 1 day after I did in Feb eg 1st Feb unload was 2/3 no unloading till 3/4

Im working with my #7 a 2nd friends help. I just LOVE these guys who dont want to play the game or cant afford to.

I liked it better when I was able to go bonkers with them, but I can live with the limits, even knowing that it wont last long.As long as I use the cards for new CCs and get the bonuses its well worth taking it very slow

2. If you are waiting for the permanent card, it will have the PIN set during online registration, correct?

I apologize in advance if these two questions have been answered in prior posts, which I may have missed when I read back over the last couple dozen pages. Because I am new to the MVD thread, I would appreciate any prior post #s that I should go back and read :)

Ah, I understand where this confusion is coming from... Let me explain..

You need to register the card. (This is the part I forgot to express!) So open the package and go through the typical registration as you would to have them send you a permanent one. I just usually sit in my car and do this so I can take them to Kroger/ATM ASAP.

Yes you'll have a million different username and passwords, but I have mine in a sequence and write them down just in case I need them. I rarely keep the permanent card when it comes because I already am carrying enough VR unloading cards. (I just sock drawer it so I have them when my two main lines get shutdown)

1. Yes, set the pin by going through the typical MVD registration process.
2. The pin set on the permanent will be done through the same registration process as the temporary. Ideally just think of them as the same cards, one of which has your name on it.

Yes, this helps a lot, thanks. In my words, I want to get into the habit of setting the same PIN on both the temp card (at ATM) and the perm card (online), so I can MO from either card.

It's best to just register entirely online prior to doing any activity via ATM or MO. That way everything is synced and if there is a problem I have an account I can verify how the transaction went through, etc.
