Is there a way to find a balance on temp card?
As I mentioned up in the thread, I am trying to use the temp card to drain them off (I can't open any more after limit of 3). I was successfully drain one of them by registering it to my sister but when I am trying to do it again with her name, it is asking me to call their CS number. I am thinking of may be they are cracking down on multiple cards tied to the same SSN. but anyway I have been trying to find out the balance on one of my temp card (just activated at drug store) and not registered yet. When I entered the 16 digits, it is trying to connect me to the CSR. Is there a way I can find the balance without talking to someone at MVD?

With my first 2 accounts placed in "spend down" mode, I decided to go ahead and open a third account. But when I did so, I received an error message saying that my information could not be verified. So I re-filled the form and clicked again. Same error message. So once again I re-filled the form and clicked. Same error message.
Yesterday, to my complete surprise, 3 new MVD cards arrived in the mail! I just successfully activated all of them. I think the day after I tried and failed three times, I went back to the site and tried again, so it will be interesting to see if even more cards arrive. I'm just going to assume that each of these new cards will get shut down after one CA/MO, so I'm just going to load right up to $9,999 and the CA the whole thing. |

To update this, I am now up to 8 MVD accounts under a single name/SS#. 5 are in "spend down" with balances at or within pennies of 0. Once those 5 were toast, I went back to the application page and signed up for 3 more cards, which all arrived this weekend. Gonna again load those each up to $9,999 and CA it all out. I fully expect to get put in spend down mode on all of them at some point, but I couldn't care less. MVD is making it easy for me to get my $ out.
I'm happy to rinse and repeat this whole process every month for an extra $30k/month in MS! |
I'm amazed you are not getting shutdown after the 1st $2.5k load.

Yes, I believe when I reported to the forum about cards 3, 4, and 5 (after 1 and 2 were shut down) you called me a "sucker" for re-loading them. Well, that extra 30k in MS (which equals 150k TYPs = $1,875 in airfare = $1,634 in profit after fees) sure doesn't make me feel like a sucker!

I'm still going to claim the record on MVD, but damn. You're starting to put me to shame.

Just loaded $2.5k to the first of these three new accounts this morning and am still "active." Will report back if that changes. I am going to follow the theory posted a bit upthread about assuming daily/weekly/monthly load limits applying across all accounts (i.e., $2.5k daily limit total on all accounts) and only load one account per day. I figure I'll still get shut down after the CAs, but at least this way I can first load each up to the $9,999 max and get the most mileage out of these accounts (pun intended).

Exactly. I wonder if the axe does fall, how long will it be before he/she comes out of hiding to post the experience ;)
In my opinion, people are way too concerned about the "ax" falling. The worst case scenario is that your money gets tied up for a short bit of time. If you can afford to float it, then there's really no harm in pushing these things. Of course, that's a big IF, and each individual needs to know their own situation. |
