Unfortunately some people on this forum have reported much longer periods.
We need to understand that MSing nets a rather small margin per transaction. Any delay or issue can eat up the small margin pretty quickly. Minimizing problems and/or account closure is the key to max profit. It doesn't make sense to be spending 2 hours to resolve an issue that has profit potential of less than $100. some here are so dedicated, may be are employed to promote it... |

That payee probably doesn't except electronic payments. In that case, a paper check has to mailed out. That goes the same for any other bill pay services, not just BB.
Yesterday's practices of risking accounts shutdown will run out of options. |

Are U talking about MVD? When your funds are locked down? faxing the documents repeatedly? trying to log in your account everyday for 2days/2weeks or calling 800 CS? feel like its a wonderful day when you see your account in spend down mode? cannot decide if CA is safe or MO? Now its shut down, so, U can apply for the 5th and the 6th card?

MVD is the only one that locks up the access to your own funds! lets U open a new account after they shut down? What kind of suspicious game is that?

some here are so dedicated, may be are employed to promote it... Like others said, I'm sorry you had bad experience with MVD, but you need to move on dude. Things are constantly changing in this game. If you can't keep up with it, then get out of the race, nobody is forcing you to run. But if others can make it work for them, then let them be. You're not helping aanybody by constantly repeating your outdated negative experience. |
Sorry to burst in on this passionate discussion but I have a question, please.
I have $500 on the MVD loaded yesterday. I have another $500 VR to load. If I load it to achieve $1k balance, what is the recommended cash advance amount I should ask for at a bank branch in person? I don't want problems with this too early as I am only in the OJT with this. Not sure I am going to like it anyway. Or should I just go ask for $400 and not load the extra VR yet? Is $800 a safe amount to ask for if I load the VR? Thanks in advance! :) |

Almost same experience 10 min ago. Chase says they got a declined when i tried doing a a 6k ca, online shows active, havent called mvd yet. Top it with chase saying they cannot try more than once - go figure!
Looking it positively, if this change can make MVD survives (read: die less quickly) from those big MSers (you should realize 99% of us are tiny MSers), it might not be a bad change. |

Just called MVD and got to know the new rule about cash advance is that you can only withdraw up to $2.5K per day and $6.5K per month. The CSR said it is due to MSers that such a rule is set. It is a new rule probably became active just in the past days.

Vanilla Reload has a new screen yesterday and today my attempts to reload an MVD are met with card invalid. Been out of town so had no MVD reload attempts in the past 30 days. Just used the MVD yesterday for a purchase. Have never done any bank CAs. Balance left on MVD is over $100.
Wondering whether the VR new screen and MVD inability to reload are related? Additional datapoints? |
