Data Point: I have 3 MVD's to liquidate: $8K on inactive, $5K on inactive & $1.5K active. Went to USPS & did $2.5K on each inactive & $1K on active & got out $6K. Very, very happy to perform MO! I'll empty 'em by end of week. Does "Inactive" = Spend Down? Does Spend Down mean everything possible but CA? Let's help each other out. I wanna desperately finish these 3 Citi 100K $10K spend cards! (I'm on the fence if I should cancel my card or spend the $450-$200=$250 fee for the 100K AA points....hmmmm?

How to spend down/cash out a prepaid debit card? Hmmmmmm.....let me count the ways..... I love this method, I love it not, lol......Pick one, check the fees(which dictates the method to this cheap butt) then execute. Surely in 18 months, you have learned at least one method. You know, must trust yourself/have confidence. Now, get crackin!

Just get another and start again!! :)
And this time don't worry about the legitimate expenses, cause you may just get shutdown regardless, but you can still liquidate via spend down status. |

Looked a lot of places online and can't find an answer. Can you unload a TEMPORARY MVD to MO at WM kiosks using 0000 pin?
Just call in or wait until you get your permanent card. |

So, MVD didn't "like" what you did?? What exactly was there not to "like"?
I just loaded $1k on today and have $500 for tomorrow to put in. I've bought two MOs; what is their deal? :td: I may figure out a way to spend out to the penny if this is what I have to look forward to....thanks for sharing. :) |

When you say inactive do you mean just the temp cards without activating online? Trying to figure out how to liquidate these and being ignored on here...

Okay I really need someone's help here.
Can you--through Money Orders OR Cash Advance--liquidate a My Vanilla Debit Visa card that is NOT registered with a social security number? I only ask because I've accidentally purchased more cards than I have family to register them to. Please direct message me, as I'm in dire need of assistance. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you! |
Must be something in the air. My card had been working fine and I even bought a coffee with it this morning. Just checked my account and it says "spend down"

Yes you can! Your bank will probably question it though since it doesn't have your name on it. I'd probably MO it or get the money out via ATM if necessary.
