Yes, the spend down mode is shown where it says Card Status.
I have been able to load cards and do CAs from the cards that are in spend down mode. |
How many times they lock up (login access) your account before total/absolute shut down (close and send U the balance)?
|
New update. After passing the latest AA on the 3rd card I went to log in and accidentally logged in to one of my old card accounts that had been shutdown in Spring. And what do you know they have been reactivated and sitting there with a negative $1.95 fee sat on it.
Lesson - go check your old accounts. Now I just need to request a new card as I shredded the old one. |
To those who complained to FDIC, have U received any response yet? is FDIC doing anything at all?

45K rolling year, or for 2013 and the clock resets? Anyone? Anyone exceed these limits? |

Data point. My mvd got shut down recently. I have web site access and the status is 'inactive.' Csr confirmed it is in spend down mode using credit only - no debit - and that compliance was concerned about how the card was being used. Csr also confirmed there is no time limit on spend down at least in this mode.

done it twice. the window they give you is quite finite. the limits are $2500/day still.

I loaded 4K+ and then CA all (less the $1.95 fee) within two days after my card started to show the "spend down" status.

Datapoint: I have 3 cards with them. I load about $3K/month on each card (each load was $1K/7-10 days). After last load of $1K on one of these cards, I couldn't login anymore on that account (I can on other two). Called today and was told that "bank" requested to converted this account to "unregistered" account that means I cannot use it anymore as debit. I will not get on-line access to my account either.
Is it a new policy? I read here that their's policy is to ask for ID, SSN and VR's receipts to unlock account. |

Since I have maxed out the Bluebird and Serve for the month on deposits, I have dusted off the Permanent Vanilla Debit card, and cannot remember all the details. I remember that I could CA at Chase, but I do not remember if I can do any bill pay, and there is nothing on the site about fees or free ATM withdrawals, only that the limit is $400 a day for a withdrawal. Needs a wiki at the top for terms!! Read about 50 pages so far before thinking about loading VR's and looks like I can only load $500 a day?
