So I have 2 temp cards and just received the personalized cards in the mail. How are these activated? I tried 'Activate Card' under my account, but it gives me the following:

We are unable to activate the card at this time. Please try again later or contact customer service.

For obvious reasons, I'd prefer not to call if I don't have to.....

1) Try again

2) contact customer service.

Obvious reasons? whaaat? U don't have an account yet!

if anyone has tested the limits of this card in spend down mode and would be willing to share, please pm me. very much appreciated.

done it twice. the window they give you is quite finite. the limits are $2500/day still.

$5K debit/day, $8k weekly, $10k monthly, $45k annually

were you able to add funds during the "spend down?"

I wouldnt add any new $$$ till I could unload them, least MVD decides to freeze my acct till I send in the info they want. Of cause if aperson can handle the float of 1000s of $$$s being tied up for a few weeks if not longer then go for it

I have 3 accounts. I had an issue with one of them for the copies of the receipt and VRs. That card went into Spend Down mode on 12/4 or 12/5. I was able to drain that card. I did not try a CA since I was told I could not.

My other 2 cards, I just noticed last night were also in spend down mode and I have been loading those. The last CA was 12/8 on those. Not sure when that went into Spend Down status.

I will find out soon if I can do a CA on those since I am not sure of what status they were in on 12/8.

This spend down status is new to me. I have been inactive before and become active again.

I loaded 4K+ and then CA all (less the $1.95 fee) within two days after my card started to show the "spend down" status.

So you left $1.95 on the card so they could get their "taste," godfather style?

Is the spend down mode showed where it says "Card status:"?

Consensus seems to be to do CA of $2K or less at a time to avoid that.
I just loaded $5K onto an MVD, did a $2K CA, and no problems.

wait for a couple of hrs or days...

Its looking like any 4 figure trnx is likely to get you within their sights sooner rather than later.
