Info required when account on hold
The info they needed if your account gets placed on hold are the following:
Signed social security card Front and back of MVD card Front and back of the VR used to load the card Receipt from store where VR was purchased Drivers license After you email them the info at [email protected] they will say they did not receive it and can not find the email. Out of frustration I sent around 50 emails thinking they just might find one. I also recommend faxing them the info since it says when the fax was received. They eventually give up and say they did get it and will forward to the compliance division and expect a decision in 3-5 business days. Moral of the story...always save your receipts and VR cards. |

I got one of my cards put into spend down mode. CSR was pretty unhelpful. I asked them if it was possible to get a check and the sad NO. And if you loose the temp card (didn't send a permanent card before shutdown) you lose all your money. Total BS as a letter to their 'compliance dept' will sort that out but I'd like to get options on how best to proceed. Cash advancing a temp card is a no good as fraud is big concern with banks in my neck of the woods.
First time I've had to deal with buffoonery like this. If anyone have and ideas please let me know (PM if need be). TIA I was able to Cash advance with no issues whatsoever. |
Life after MVD

there is nothing that can be done to prevent shutdowns as evidenced by this entire thread. so the game is all about loading and unloading as rapidly as possible.
All MVD accounts have NOT been shut down whether details have been posted in this thread or not. And no one can 100% "prevent" any account that is used for MS from being closed. Some accounts may be more susceptible to closure than others, but things can be done that decrease or increase the risk. And suggesting loading/unloading as rapidly as possible is what the game is all about is nonsense. It probably would increase the risk of closure greatly, as evidenced a few posts back. The only reason I can think why anyone would even attempt such a strategy was if they so much could not afford getting their money tied up that they would rather risk account closure and then HOPE they can withdraw the money fast enough.

First time I've had to deal with buffoonery like this. If anyone have and ideas please let me know (PM if need be). TIA I agree- when using these cards never let money sit on it for any significant period of time. The card that I got caught with money on was active and they actually deactivated it while walking to the bank in that 5 minute time period. |

Apologies if this was already spelled out somewhere. I've read the thread but hard to keep details straight. I'm not seeing anything when logged in to MVD to indicate how I would add a second card to the acct - would someone mine explaining what the process is?
