If you manage the load an MVD to >$2.5k and then go into spend down mode, can you cash advance your full balance or are you still limited to the $2.5k/day max?

What's the record for getting sent into spend down mode? @:-)

Not sure if it is the record here:
Got the card on 2/27, add $1000 each on 2/27, 3/1, 3/2, 3/3,
in spend down mode on 3/4.
I was able to CA the entire balance at my bank though.

Doesn't he have two more chances if this is his first MVD?

I think his response meant something more like "if this is how careful you are, you will not last long." Loading $1,000 each day in such a short period is guaranteed shut down. If the guy does that with every MS method, he will quickly run out of viable options.

Having read multiple pages and unable to arrive at any conclusion, I have Qs. Qs. and More Qs....

1) Can I just buy multiple temp MVD cards and MO them at Walmart or CA at my local bank?
Reasons for not going into permanent card is:

A) Cannot buy VR's with CC in 50 mile radius
B) Can only buy GC's at Walgreens and Walmart with CC, no other options.
C) AMEX target is also not an option in my state :(

Any warnings, tips and tricks are welcome.

Is it possible to load this as you would a Serve at the drugstore?

You can CA the temp card, don't know about MO a temp card.

Direct deposit, VR, and Walmart rapid reload are how this card is loaded. Try using a CC at Walmart to RR. It's worth a shot!

What's your logic for this? I'm sure it's there, as you have good posts. :)

Wish I would have read the threads before calling in today - I did mine about the same time (feb 28th) - didn't get it while I was on vacation - figured maybe something happened to it. Guess I'm not alone. They're sending me a new card. Probably won't help for March MS!

Do you have an electric car that can only go 50 miles?

No point doing a 200 mile return trip each week for 1-2K worth of MS personally.

BQatWSU Mar 16, 2014 10:27 am

I've read various answers to this question over the last 24 hours, so wanted clarification from people who have done it if possible.

My first card is "active with restrictions" per conversation with MVD customer service. I can't login. I have $2,000 remaining. They said I cannot CA the remaining balance, but can use credit or debit. I plan on buying a MO at WM, and was wondering if I can do one large transaction ($1,998.60 + $1.40 MO fee for two 1K MOs) or do I have to do less than $800?

Thanks
