Since that conversation, I set-up a small bi-weekly DD to my third mvd. Thus far, no issues.

Hey guys, I have a bit off an off topic response, and was wondering if anyone here can help me.
Say I load up to $2000 on a temp card (unregistered). If I say, buy some clothes, and return it later, will the return be able to credit back to the temp card? If so, are there fees or more complex procedures involved v.s. a normal credit card? I was just wondering how these work if you get a credit from a company, i.e. when you return things. |

Yes, all online and store purchases can be returned in accordance with the retailer’s return policy. Any refunds or credits will be credited back to your MyVanilla Card account. Please note that it may take up to 30 business days for the merchant to send a return credit to your Card. You will not be charged a transaction fee for credits. Straight from the FAQ on the cards website. |
I believe I found a new level of shutdown as my latest temp card wouldn't activate because "identity verification failed." Had to wait on hold for half an hour while the agent determined that my temp card would be activated directly into spend down mode. The other option was a check mailed within two weeks minus a $9.95 fee.

Do NOT pay that fee. File a complaint with the FDIC.

And CVS will do a credit card reload up to $500/day?
According to Vanilla Reload site: Load Your Prepaid Card Directly at the Register Bring your prepaid card and money to a participating Vanilla Reload retailer Present your card to the cashier to add funds* to your prepaid card The cashier will ring up the sale and load your funds directly to your prepaid card *Additional fees apply. Subject to Prepaid Card load limits. See Cardholder Agreement for complete details. The bold part has me wondering if it will work like Serve at CVS. |
