But can someone verify: 1)if you load 500.00 to MVD using the BC or WF or Citi Div (thru 3.31) card, Do you still get the 5X points? If not it's useless and I would continue buying VR. 2) is the 3.95 still charged? Someone said yes so this is true? Then the only diff is what one poster stated: no finding non existent VR cards and security of having physical cards! But if you get the points, it's a no-brainer.

I can only confirm that the $3.95 is stilll charged.

And it's possible to do multiple loads per transaction or do we need to ask the cashier to ring up each load separately to get to $2,500? I'd try this myself, but I've already pushed though $2,500 on each MVD since I got them last week, so I don't want to get placed in spend down mode a week after getting the permanent cards.

Keep in mind that MVD treats getting USPS as a cashback purchase, even if you get no cash back, so you will be charged a $1.95 transaction fee. At my local supermarket, MOs are $0.59, and as long as you don't get cash back it's only a $0.50 transaction fee.

Thanks. Do you know how much Walmart charges for $990 MO?

Data point. Up until two months ago, I could load multiple VRs in one day no problem. But then two of my MVD's got shut down for 2x500 loads on the same day. I've since switched to 1 VR per day, and no problems. Obviously others are not having this issue, but Incomm is (or was) playing with their thresholds.

Thanks. How frequently you are unloading and how do you get the money? MO or CA? and what amounts?

I just want to make sure they don't shut me down immediately.

Money orders (up to $1K) have always been 70 cents at all of the Walmarts I frequent.

I am thinking of signing up for Intuit Payroll to do DD in case moving money from my bank to MVD does not work.

Heads up. There have definitely been some changes with MVD recently. Suddenly I cannot cash advance more than $2500 ($3998 in past has worked fine a few times, as have $3498, $2998). Last week tried $3998, $2998 and neither worked, but then $2498 did. I suspect $2500 daily limit now.

Also, I cannot do another cash advance off the card now and it has been since Friday. This has never been a problem before. Seems like maybe they are instituting a monthly limit perhaps.

I'm going to try MOs at WM to see if that works, but i'm not very hopeful at this point. May have to go to ATM and try that as well, all before card gets locked down ha.

Recently loaded just under max and unloaded half within 3 days total. CA + debit, no DD. Still active. Slightly less with temp 1 week prior. YMMV

Update: As expected, account was put in spend mode.
This was only one test. I'm through with MVD now and don't know if it's reproducible.

max meaning $9999? Can you be more specific? Half within 3 days could have been $5, 1000x's. Was your debit = MO purchase?

Great data point. Albeit bad news.

I guess we can update the Wiki to FACT, unless someone has recently CA more than $2.5K in a MONTH?

The Wiki has not reported any changes with MVD MO.

Please report back. We're hopeful MO @ WM will work.

Thanks.

Will do. Worth noting that this is a new MVD card received last week. Some of my others were much older. It's POSSIBLE that this is only affecting newly issued cards/accounts. I will run a test with an older one if I still have any active.
