OK.

Zero balance?

So you put $500. on last night and moved if off at the same time?

Good.

I get the balance off MVD within minutes of loading.

OK. Only by debit pay Citi, but in the future it will be CA/MO.

I don't keep balances on MVD ever. On/off.

So you loaded $500. last night. Why not more?

What is your CC balance? If it's Citi, you can pay your balance with MVD debit pay. So, you load MVD last night up to the balance that you can pay off.

If not debit pay Citi, have a bank/WM or something set up to CA/MO a larger amount.

Hopefully you have many more than 2 tries.

Now that one MVD is shutdown, go out tomorrow and buy/try for another MVD.

First load up and try a bank for a Temp MVD CA/MO.

Yes, it's $500. for $3.95. but it's sustainable and sustainability is good in our MS business. 10K = $80. expense.

If that doesn't work (or you don't like the expense ratio) register the card and you're off again. Yeah!

You answered all the question yourself.

You talked to a MVD rep after a shut-down and the world did not end.

Great job.

I had put through a total of $3500 on that card when I got cut off. It was actually my second account. The first one is still active and at $3000 in March loads. I only loaded $500 last night because I went to CVS to do a direct load, but the cashier was only able to load $500 per transaction. There was a line behind me, so I thanked her for humoring me by trying the load but left with the one. I took out the first $500 in a combination of an ATM withdrawal (as a test) and a MO. The middle $2500 I did in 5x MOs at my local grocery story (with a $0.50 fee). The shutdown happened tonight after I did a MO to zero out the account.

I don't mind the temp cards if I can set the PIN. The local grocery store doesn't care about the card you use as long as it's a PIN-based debit transaction. I just wish the accounts were more sustainable than they were. My first card is still open, and I'll keep the second one around since I've read in here that they have a way of reactivating sometimes.

The expense ratio isn't too bad. With the right cash back card you can charge just enough to cover all VR/MVD load fees even if your other rewards cards are at 1x. ^

An inspiration for us all.

I had to share this one. Last time i used MVD was to load and unload $1000 in January. Didn't load anything in February. Only loaded $500 on Friday and Saturday, CA 1000 on Tuesday, loaded $500 on Wednesday and my account is in spend down mode as of tonight. Incomm has a Helluva compliance department.

Loaded $3500 over the course of 3 weeks. Paid my property tax bill yesterday (did max payment of $2500) and now I'm in spend down mode. I thought my usage of the card was pretty legit. Jeez!

First time to the MVD dance, $2500 in, $2495 out, online access gone! No surprise, though.

Haha, what is the fastest? Mine lasted less than one week!

Yep, so it seems like now it's basically a game to see how many times you can register for a perm and get $2500 and do it all over again. That will certainly lower the number of VRs I can run through.

I've had 3 cards for 9 months now, but haven't used them much other than the first 2-3 months until this past week. Card 1 loaded up to $2500. Phone debit payment to Citi for half the amount, instant shut down. Card 2 loaded that evening to $2500, online access immediately revoked. Guess I'll save card 3 for an emergency.

I would have to search through but there was someone who reported a shutdown within a day or two of getting the permanent card.
