I'm also a Hilton Diamond, I think this might have been a factor.

Yes, you received credit as a Diamond that you were allowed to use at SunsOut/BunsOut. The original question didn't include that scenario and spoke to FHR benefits. FHR breakfast is ONLY at The Kitchen.

Yes, I did get a Diamond benefit. I exceeded it 2x by buying orange juice and donuts at SOBO.

Here are a couple other reference that seem to suggest that the FHR benefit works at SOBO for diamonds.

Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World {US-NV}

Are you just quoting the letter or are you presenting a datapoint? There seems to be strong evidence it worked in the past, did this change?

FHR doesn't recognize your Diamond status. FHR breakfast benefit does not extend to SOBO.
If you get someone on property willing to waive the rules then lucky you. Otherwise the rule is no SOBO with FHR for the BREAKFAST credit.
The $125 FHR on property credit can be used at SOBO, among other outlets.

The food there was very limited, I was actually surprised how limited the menu was. No french roast or waffles? The hell. The knockoff eggslut restaurant was decent in comparison. It was also an easy place to use up my credits, I bought a lot of bottled waters. Saved me a trip to CVS. Wally's was pretty good, if I stay here again, I would probably use the 100$ credit there. The whole shopping area felt very empty. Very little foot traffic, most of the shops were empty. With this whole asian ownership group thing going on, how does this shopping mall area not have any high end designer brands. I didn't recognize any of the brands. Surely they know their customers wan't gucci/LV/hermes/etc.. I feel like they will have to refresh this place in a few years with some new stores and restaurants.
I like the property in general, but it seems like they've had a hard time getting business - lot of closed restaurants since the opened, not much foot traffic, etc.

I stayed there a week or so after they opened and the casino hosts made clear to me that customers needed them more than they needed the customers, so I guess their getting their karma. Businesses in a competitive market should be more careful about operating under those kinds of assumptions!

I'm not surprised the mall doesn't have more high-end stores. There are already duplicates at other malls on the strip, like the Forum and Crystals. I think even in Vegas there's a limit to how many of the same brand store you need, and Resorts World is way less convenient than any of the other locations.

Yeah, the whole resort is kind of and empty-bland vibe, but rooms are nice enough if at a low price.
Food selections were a weak spot. In that I mean, overpriced, many were closed at odd times/days during my stays, and the kiosk ordering system was as messed up as a football bat. Three times now, I had to go to the center dessert shop that has the ONE manned cash register that a human can assist with ordering on. No signage that this exists, just lots of kiosks that don't work and no human customer service booth to inquire with. I had to flag down a worker who turned me on to the secret ordering counter.

But, for the edification of the thread, there's some attempted buzz about a new restaurant that just opened this week. Because apparently the Vegas hordes were calling out for $50 beans. Personally, I think vegan options are fine – the food looked delicious – and it might do well as a casual foodcourt venue, but to expect an entire group to all agree on vegan and agree to drop steakhouse-$$$ to get a faux-sausage just because the party's one vegetarian friend wanted everyone to dine there is going to be a hard sell. I guess we'll see: is the hippie-gambler demographic large enough to make the far end of the Strip a dining destination?

("I'll be just down the street at The Golden Steer, catch up with me after you enjoy your high sodium-cauliflower nuggets, m'kay?")

Press release:
"Two restaurants are now open at the Strip's newest resort — Crossroads Kitchen, Ronnen's beloved plant-based institution which mirrors the original location in Los Angeles as well as CB | Crossroads Burgers, a new fast-casual, plant-based restaurant.

"Our expansion within Resorts World Las Vegas points to the evolving mainstream appeal of plant-based cuisine," said Chef Tal Ronnen, founder of Crossroads Kitchen and author of New York Times Best Seller, The Conscious Cook. "When Crossroads Kitchen first opened in 2013, it was a rarity, the first upscale, entirely plant-based restaurant with a full bar. Now, with our new locations, I'm excited to continue shaping the perception of plant-based dining with Resorts World and serve delicious, refined food that appeals to vegans and flexitarians alike." Crossroads Kitchen offers guests its signature Mediterranean-inspired dishes in a convivial atmosphere as well as additional specialty menu items exclusive to the Las Vegas location including the Chestnut Foie Gras made with roasted chestnuts and served with a cabernet demi-glace, grilled sourdough, celery leaf, and grapes and Chips and Caviar, waffle chips served with a dollop of Kite Hill sour cream topped opulently with seaweed-based caviar. Off-menu items from the Los Angeles location such as Spaghetti and Meatballs made with Impossible Meatballs and Fettuccine Alfredo provide diners with nostalgic plant-based comfort food. The 162-seat restaurant features the dark woods, deep red banquettes, dramatic lighting and music the Melrose institution is known for. Iconic photography from artist Neil Zlozower is displayed throughout. The restaurant will also feature bar seating and a private dining room for up to 20 people.

Crossroads Kitchen's casual outpost, CB | Crossroads Burgers, serves the restaurant's custom plant-based sausage with specially crafted in-house casings, burgers, fries and ice cream sundaes from a quick-service counter. Diners have the option to enjoy their meals in the 24-seat venue, or order takeaway for on-the-go convenience and even opt for delivery with menu items arriving directly to their rooms or poolside cabanas through Resorts World's On The Fly service. With the opening of Crossroads Las Vegas, Chef Ronnen continues to redefine the plant-based culinary landscape he pioneered, creating destination-worthy experiences for locals and travelers alike. The restaurants offer an upscale venue to indulge in a delicious plant-based meal and enamor a diverse range of appetites. Crossroads Kitchen is now open daily for dinner from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. CB|Crossroads Burgers is open daily for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. https://www.rwlasvegas.com/dining/crossroads/

I've read that Crockfords recently changed the policy and now the Hilton Gold F&B credit can only be used at the Dawg House saloon... which seems super ridiculous and random to me. Can anyone confirm?

I am a Hilton Diamond member currently at Conrad. And yes the F&B credit is only for the Dawg House. This is a sportsbook & saloon, so hardly appropriate to take my young kids to. I have sent an email complaining about the lack of choice for the F&B credit and that it isn't suitable for kids. Let's see what they say. The front desk told me they have had the complaint from others but nothing has been changed.

You'd almost think they are trying their best to ensure the credit doesn't get used

This benefit was supposed to provide flexibility - the ability to choose when and where you wanted to use it - breakfast, cocktails, dinner, pantry items...to limit it to one outlet, and not a very popular one at that, completely goes against the spirit of the benefit. I hope William sees this and can comment as to whether the hotel can even limit it in this way. Is this Dawg House open for all 3 meals? I haven't looked at the menu, but what time does it open and if early enough, is it hot dogs for breakfast?

Hi,

Website suggests 11AM to 2AM ( 3 AM on Fri & Sat) so useless for breakfast ( unless you are a late riser)

https://www.rwlasvegas.com/dining/dawg-house-saloon/

A complete lack of flexibility

Regards

Dawg’s is open for breakfast - at least by 8-9. They have a small selection of breakfast items (maybe 7-8 items) - eggs, smoked salmon, Avacado toast. The rest of the day is hot dogs, burgers, wings and a few sandwiches. Really not suitable for a multi night stay and as I mentioned, not suitable for those traveling with kids.

I haven’t heard back from management regarding my email but hoping they will comp
other restaurants instead.

You need to open a case with Hilton Customer Service and also contact the HHonors Ambassador here when he comes back if he is out for the current time.

This is a violation of the program. Be sure to mention Dawg House is only for ages 21 and up... I think that is the little nugget that would make this be not okay.

Looks like this joke property is already starting to play games. Starting to sound like the old Reno Hilton 20 years ago. I guess that was worse. They would pretend there was no meal benefit.

I did that and talked about discrimination against those with kids, etc. The next day, I got a message from one of the managers at the Conrad. As a ‘one time courtesy’ they would allow us to use the Kitchen or Suns Out Buns Out for our F&B credit for our stay. So at check out, I got 5 x $50 F&B credit, which was for a 5 night stay. 3 towards meals at The Kitchen and 2 for Dawg’s House. I again spoke to the front desk at check out and they agreed Dawg’s House is only for adults so not really appropriate for kids. But who knows if they’ll change it or just allow ‘courtesy’ credits for those who complain.

Other than that, had a great stay. The pools were great and easy to get chairs.
