Just wrapped up a stay this past weekend. I had used 2 amex free weekend certs to secure two rooms from 2 accounts back to back(lowest room category). They were sold out as there was an HR convention in the hotel, in addition to the NHL starting weekend. Rates were in the $1300 for the entry level rooms, up to $3000 for one bedroom suites per night!

Overall I was more than impressed. I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite on the top floor, right next to the skybar(66th floor). I did not ask for it, I was proactively upgraded on arrival.

The views were absolutely phenomenal. The breakfast buffet was an additional $2 over the credit and it is perfectly adequate - featuring quality salmon, berries, eggs, etc. All bennies were accurately described and easy to use.

I was also proactively given an additional $50 just because the cleaners did not restock the pods. I went down to ask for couple of pods, given and given addl $50 just because they forgot! I certainly did not expect anything in return. Amazing.

The check-in folks were extremely professional and up to the LXR level.

The room is definitely on par with top 5 star hotels around the world, definitely a notch above all US HH hotels!

Shades worked perfectly during the night - complete darkness. We would sit on the window for 30 minutes at a time just admiring the view and watching the traffic on the strip/highway and plane/heli spotting. The view is that amazing.

We had dinner at the Italian and Mexican and both were absolutely amazing quality. The deserts in the Italian restaurants are to die for, they get very close to what you would find in Laduree in France. The Chef went to Pastry school in Paris so there is that.
Based on reviews on yelp/here I skipped all of the places in the food court and only had deserts which were phenomenal - deserts from around the world, mostly Asia but some notable ones from Latin America - highly recommended!

Crockfords also provides free breakfast every morning and that is in the Crockfords lobby, which is completely free. This is separate from the $50 credit that diamonds get.
Late checkout was proactively offered until 2pm, asked to have the room until 4pm, granted with a smile!

The welcome gift was absolutely phenomenal - The kind you would expect to get in top level hotels in Asia. The full sized cake was certainly top shelf(think super fancy without layers) - it could have easily fed 10 people - we barely finished it by the second day, the charcuterie board was definitely top notch. If I would wager, I would say that the welcome gift could easily cost $150 in the resort! I was blown away - certainly I did not expect that in a US Hilton.

Internet speed was 40Mbit/s which was perfectly adequate for 4k streaming.

Some negatives:
They did not merge the reservations even though HH reservations did. They had to get manager involved to merge the two ressies. I will chalk it up to a newbie that checked me in.
They found a reservation from someone else that had the same last name that was cancelled and gave me a scare. We figured it out but it was a bit stressful.
$50 diamond credits cannot be used everywhere only at 4 different places. That certainly goes against the spirit of the new promo that HH started in July. If its a property credit it should be used anywhere where you can bill. I don't buy the BS that they tell me that they only own 4 of the outlets. Gentling owns the hotels and everything in between, not just 3 restaurants.
The Cast feature on the TV that they have is phenomenal, unfortunately it was implemented poorly and skipped constantly. I hope they will fix it next time I visit.

Wow! How did you end up scoring the welcome gift? I'm assuming it was because it was your birthday and they had noticed? That's awesome. Great report, thanks for sharing.

The checkin lady just asked what was the occasion, and I told them it was my wife's birthday. That was it. Two hours after check-in the welcome gift came.

Your stay has singlehandedly convinced me to shorten my reservation at the Waldorf Astoria and give Crockfords a try.

Thanks for sharing

Wow, yeah those views are great. What was the room number, if I was going to ask for a "side" of the hotel with those windows?

Did that cake taste as yummy as it looked?

And the wine and charcuterie were also a gift?

I would say double wow.

And I love that view....so different from many that are either facing south or north up the Strip, that wide east to west view is really different.

Nice, I checked in on my birthday 2 weeks ago and nothing. Though they didn't ask, and I didn't volunteer that information.

Ummm...squeaky wheel and all? I always mention birthdays or anniversaries, sometimes something, sometimes not. But NEVER what this guy got. You don't say what your status is, or if you're a Whale, but honestly that was above and beyond, especially at a hotel where all reports are that they could care less about anything.

I am a diamond with zero revenue nights with Hilton for the past 5 years, status based on my amex card alone. Wife is also Diamond, same deal as me, zero revenue stays, but both diamonds, maybe that has something to do with it(We only burn our certs each year). We are most certainly no whales and use our vouchers at top hotels with close to zero spend at the hotel. They were aware that we were both diamonds since the two ressies came from our separate accounts.

Also every time I check in I am dressed nice and am overly nice with all of the front desk agents(I used to work in a hotel in my teens so I know the BS that they go through).

The room we got was 66124 if memory serves, the last one bedroom suite next to the Skybar.

The charcuterie board was part of the welcome gift, so yes it was complimentary.
The cake was very delicious as I have mentioned in my report - it did not have layers, super soft with two jellies with nuts and fig jam. It was definitely the highligh and like I said we barely finished it by the time we checked out! It was that good!

The drapes are supposed to be automatic, but the buttons on the walls didn't work. However if you gave them a little tug, they automated the rest of the way (Open and closed).
It was too hot for either of us to spend any appreciable time out-doors, though I did walk through and peak at it. They seemed fine, genuinely not pool people though (I played a bunch of poker tournaments at other properties).

We are both true foodies, and everywhere, the food was excellent. Though I did not try all of them:
  • Wally's - awesome, do try the Truffle pizza and the Cheese board
  • The Kitchen was great for breakfast
  • Two Starbucks on property - we always used the one on the casino floor.
  • Genting palace was a bit spendy but was very good. We particularly enjoyed the spring rolls and the Beef Hor fun
  • Genting bar was also very good, and they can order some food items, as we seemed to eat at awkward times this worked well for us
  • Crockfords bar was quiet and attentive.
  • Marigold place was just ok - but the service was very good
  • As far as street eats, the chicken place was excellent, the rest was alright.
  • Room service was again very good, and was real room service, not door-dash.
  • Dawg house was too loud (Yes, I am old)
  • We did not eat at Suns Out Buns out
Planning a Dec trip. I have $250 Aspire resort credit to use. Do those joints charge food to your room? Thanks!

I was able to get everything charged to our room that I tried. I did not try for Starbucks, used the App for that so it was ready by the time i got downstairs.

Travelzork and Vital Vegas are reporting on Twitter that the top 6 floors of the Resorts World Hilton have been converted to Crockfords West due to high demand for Crockfords vs. Hilton. It sounds like these floors are all suites. Check-in is through a dedicated area in the Hilton lobby.
