Pizza takeaway from a food truck in Edinburgh called Mr Wood Fire - the burrata and crust were great - less of a fan of the nuts (luckily, I could pick them off) - hopefully, they get a sit down establishment at some point

I dropped my son off at a boy friends house and later learned they went to a yacht club to watch footie and eat prime rib. You cant make this up.
in the meantime I drove my mother to Costco to redeem a rebate check, then drove her back home, then I drove to
little original joes, west portal, sf:
carryout:
frozen pepperoni pizza (12 for $18.99)
pizza salad with lemon vinaigrette

(I went there to get Zanzes cheesecake for Thursday - its frozen)

Dishoom Edinburgh and then some amazing sticky toffee pudding at Hawksmoor (the staff was nice enough to let me have a table in the packed restaurant just for pudding)

I have decided to delude myself and just think of pounds as dollars!

Been a weird day food wise. Not a single real meal because Ive been doing various Xmas runs - Bakery, Costco, Whole Foods, The Wegmans (those last two were truly torture regarding getting to it and finding a parking spot) and also the ABC store because of course finally needed another bottle of Pernod (Oysters Rockefeller). A late dinner was ultimately Rochambeau Oysters on the half shell that just arrived earlier this evening and wonderfully fresh having just been harvested yesterday morning

We got Chinese take-out from a local place my family and I have been going to for many years. I didn't realize until I visited the website tonight that they've been around since 1988! Our selection was the mapo tofu (spicy) with fried rice, chicken and green peas and szechuan beef with steamed rice and it was perfect for a night we didn't feel like cooking (plenty of that to do tomorrow). The hot and sour and egg drop soups were also fairly good, though the former needed just a bit more spice.

🎶 Mary had a little lamb, its fleece was stripped away. And even though that Mary wept, the lamb went on the plate 🎶

Happy Birria Navidad!

Christmas Eve supper:

Dungeness crab
Caesar Salad (best new recipe book)

sourdough bread with kerrygold butter

Mitchells chocolate ice cream

uneaten by me:
southern Mac & cheese with kerrygold cheddar as inspired by Miesque plus kerrygold butter instead of Costco butter
shrimp
veggie tray
party meatballs
