This looked really really good. Did it have the Szechuan mouth-numbing feeling, which btw I only discovered around 2010 because I didnt even know by 2010 that mapo tofu is supposed to be Szechuan (sichuan) with that mouth-numbing feeling. I always had it at Cantonese restaurants from 1985 to 2010 so they just had it in a Chinese American style. Ultra sigh.

Yummy room service dinner at Al Bustan Palace - substituted the glazed vegetables for fries, lemon butter on the side, beef tenderloin medium well - the pizza was also much better than it looked - dates pudding for dessert!

Prime Tenderloin Tips with steamed broccoli and a Kirkland 2023 Vacqueyras (this is a nice little Rhone for the price). While not aesthetic, it’s easy and tasty and utilizes the small pieces of meat from the process of trimming a whole beef tenderloin (the really small bits I make steak tartare from the day of trimming) and cutting it into Filet Mignons and a Chateubriand. Sauteed garlic and onions and the tenderloin pieces seasoned with Lea & Perrins paprika, oregano, salt and pepper.
