I miss Newk’s. In Panama City, it fell victim to Hurricane Michael. None close by since we relocated. My go to was the shrimp Po’ boy. Huge salads there are fun too.

Dinner was a piece of flounder and some leftover palm pasta. Just had a fun-size white chocolate Kit Kat.

It's one of my go-tos when I want a cheat meal - still satisfies the pizza craving without straying too badly. We have a few places around town that offer cauliflower crust, we also have one place that offers a broccoli/cheddar crust.

Breakfast: red potatoes with onions and mushrooms fried in olive oil, 2 jumbo eggs over easy, Bays sourdough English muffin, 2 slices Canadian bacon.

Lunch: ham and tomato on whole wheat with Cuban mustard. Ruffles potato chips.

Then I got the email that OneBlood had processed my Wednesday blood donation. Cholesterol is trending into the danger zone. Must control cravings and eat healthy again. Ah, screw it, I’ll start next month.

I’m a firm fanatic for avocado / salmon / lox / peanut butter / nuts although not all together. I feel that they all help to bring cholesterol numbers down.
