The guy we were with was a friend of the restaurant. It's no Sparks or Keens... but it was damn good. Easily the best meal of 2021. -J. |

.. this was our menu tonight: Iceberg Wedge Salad, Tomato, Blue Cheese and Canadian Bacon Sizzling Canadian Bacon (Extra Thick by the Slice) Grilled Norwegian Salmon Fillet (half/shared) Grilled Yellowfin Tuna (half/shared) Porterhouse steak (yes I had some :o) Creamed spinach Roasted potatoes Tiramisu, lemon cheesecake, warm orange butter cake, mixed berries (all on the house) I think there were two martinis in there somewhere. One had blue cheese-stuffed olives... I could have just eaten those for dinner. We also had two bottles of Caymus 2016. https://royal35steakhouse.com/ The guy we were with was a friend of the restaurant. It's no Sparks or Keens... but it was damn good. And they’re the winner of the #1 Steakhouse of NYC in 2021, too! ;)
Must visit the Royal 35 Steakhouse on our next NYC stop ! Desserts there seem decent enough too & glad all on the house for GW McLintock ‘ s dinner ( try always for FTers ;) ? ; perhaps a Pre / Post Do venue ?? ) !! Posting here instead of “ What's for dinner? “ thread . Also had fruits , blueberries , jackfruit , papaya , pineapple , rock melon , water melon and pear for breakfast , lunch & dinner besides what you see below . Breakfast : scrambled eggs and bacon with the usual various iced liquids . Taste tested of panettone baked by a friend , similar to some from Italy .. good enough for a fund raiser CHRISTmas project . Lunch included mee rebus and broccoli . The sugar overload continues with some you see below . https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...10ac27fd4.jpeg Iced latte and the tiny portion of panettone https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...102cc0194.jpeg Mango and persimmon https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...db7bb2705.jpeg Pear tart https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...8b437bd45.jpeg Kueh bingka ( tapioca cake ) https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...058988797.jpeg Chef Sebastien ' s Signature Tarte Aux Pommes - last delicious one with us |

Earlier today afternoon snack... bowl of corn flakes. :)

Dinner tonight was the leftover salmon and a bowl of chicken noodle soup, followed by some honeydew.
Went to the supermarket tonight to stock up before the rain hits. Just got some produce (cucumbers, carrots, apples), and some Campbell's chunky soup and a giant jar of Vlasic pickles that were on sale. -J. |
