Breakfast: Toasted Helga's sandwich thin with fresh tomato, half an apple and rhubarb & strawberry yoghourt. |

After a very early breakfast of corn flakes all I've had since then has been pastries and coffee. However bife de chorizo is on the menu tonight along with a simple side salad of tomatoes/onion/grated carrot and lettuce drizzled with fresh lemon juice from our own trees and extra virgin olive oil from Mendoza. I shall be cooking while the wife rests so a glass or two of Malbec will keep me company in the kitchen. I've got a new cooking toy arriving next week.....watch this space. ^ |
Lunch consisted of avocado and swiss cheese on a sesame baguette, as well as a peanut butter'd apple.
Dinner was kimchi jjigae with pomegranate seltzer. Dessert will a random pick in the dark, from comestibles in the cupboard. Possibly (Japanese) sakura green tea kit-kat (nope, it was Glico Pejoy hazelnut creme cookie sticks. From China) |

Meal: Breakfast Beechwood smoked kippers with some freshly (home) baked baguette with Twinings Everyday tea. The fresh dough has been in the fridge an extra couple of days and has effectively become a sort of sourdough baguette. Lovely. Usual medications and vitamins .... s*d them. HIDDY, I wish I had my own lemon tree.^ BuildingMyBento is pomegranate seltzer grenadine with wine? Is peanut butter'd apple - apple with peanut butter sort of smeared on? Sounds like fun. |

But yes, the latter is peanut butter liberally spread on the apple; I sometimes add the contraction "'d" to words for the heck of it. Kippers sound nice. How about trying mackerel in the morning? |
