Less is more, pizza-wise in my mind... Some Italian Salami with Fennel (Waitrose) and Spinach (for ms adey), a liberal sprinkling of dried chilli seeds and gallons of creme fraiche on the side....

At home in Chicago, I made a creamy egg nog pie with a gingersnap cookie crust. Tasty! Will make a great addition to the holiday pie lineup. :)

Sounds really interesting and a new one on me .... understand the crust (crumble?) ... but what was the filling exactly?

It was a new one on me too, but it sounded good. PM me if you'd like the recipe. The filling is egg nog, unflavored gelatin, brandy, vanilla, sugar with whipped cream folded in and then refrigerated for several hours. The crust is simply ginger biscuits crushed and mixed with butter and a bit of kosher salt and baked.
