McDonalds! I know it's really stupid but I like trying McDonalds in different countries so I had lunch at one in Managua, Nicaragua today. Admit it, a Pollo McCrispy is a hilarious name, yet also somewhat intriguing.

Today ... awful day. Slingbox1 went down just before our next trip ... the printer stopped .. all that sort of stuff that always happens at the same time. Anyone remember the Hamlet advert? :)

Anyway we all have them ... it was one of those days.

We were a bit of a loose end lunch planning wise and I couldn't face anything too Christmassy or New Yearsy .... so I found some frozen sole from Cornwall and I defrosted and breadcrumbed them and we had them with some fries and petit pois and Hovis cut in the upper crust way on the bias. The fish tasted absolutely as though it had just come out of the sea. And appropriately we had a bottle of reassuringly cheap but lovely Pecheur. Posh. Non?

I apologise for not taking the picture before I started eating it. No class.

Nicely done. I honestly thought this was at a restaurant when I looked at the picture.

If it were, my wife would be complaining. His portion looks much bigger than his wife's.

Well you can see round bleedin' corners you muckraker. :p

She had two fishes and so did I. Hers was bigger than mine because I love her.

My wine glass is bigger though.

Jakarta

-Ceres orange juice mix
-Ritz crackers
-Various tempura and butter squid with green tea
-Hotteok (can't get enough of this Korean dessert)
-Dragon fruit
-Fried rice with lots of pickles

It might be best to stop eating from vendors washing their dishes in the floods

It couldn't have been a pucka Mickey. It must have been a Dickey Mickey making Dehli Belly. Ian Dury. :p
