Going to be a late night again it seems, so I finished the fruit. The woman in Jamaica (Queens) does it better than this one.

For dinner (12/16) went to Saengchai Phochana (Chinese-Thai on Sukhumvit near Thong Lo) and had the following:
Fried fish with fish sauce
Fried calamari
Oyster omelette

Rice and beer

Last night it was Spiced basmati rice, dhal, grilled chicken tikka, accompanied by pappadums, raita and Mrs Pataks lime chutney. Fabulous!

One of those dinner things at a business associate's home tonight. From prior experience, for whatever reason, they always overcook the filet. So, been loading up on some comfort food as preparation, e.g., Shake Shack, NYC pizza (must be the water that makes this just better than everywhere else?), and street vendor hot dog (sans the ketchup, of course!).

Breakfast this morning was oatmeal and an egg with cheese. I saw an egg hack on TikTok where you put the whole egg into the air fryer for 9 minutes at 300° and it comes out like a soft boiled egg, and it worked out pretty well!

Next time get a shish or chicken kebab, or lamb/chicken/kofta over rice. My personal favorite is chicken over salad with just a dash of white sauce and extra hot sauce.

I can’t tell you how often I had the exact same thing while living in NYC. There was a halal cart in Battery Park City that I frequented 3-4 times per week. Tasty. Filling. Cheap. It met the criteria!

That's it. I'm definitely going to have this before I leave.

Lunch so far was the leftover broiled dorado. If the cucumber in my fridge is still good I will slice that up later.

Cost pizza slice - it’s a short walk from my office so I couldn’t resist. Except I thought it was $1.50 like the hot dog and it’s bloody $1.99. Still yum and I read while in pickup queue - of course it’s mega busy on Friday. Walking past the food bank queue in both directions only makes me Enjoy and appreciate my cost slice all the more. That food bank queue is definitely longer than the cost food pickup queue.

gorgeous. I’m still always weirded out by all the savory foods at “breakfast” because most can (“should”) be served at luncheon. I love dim sum after 10:30 and as a second meal of the day… not first. All the visits to China and HK and Taiwan and I just never got it. I forgot what breakfast was like when I went to bkk / Penang (my) during my younger years.

This - halal guys or any similar is the perfect fast meal. Nyc pizza is like Costco pizza slices although more topping choices. We have no real version of halal guys in California.
