If anyone would like to see a recipe for my pickle chicken, you can find it (along with several others) here.
I finished it today... need to start thinking about what to make this week. I have the idea to maybe try marinating ground turkey in pickle juice to make pickle-flavored turkey burgers, which I bet would be really great with some ketchup and mustard. -J. |
My daughters brought me back some Shake Shack after going to a night time light parade in Phoenix.
Enjoyed the bacon burger. I got about half of a chocolate milk and cookie shake, and I swear it about put me in a diabetic coma. It’s got to be the sweetest milkshake I’ve had in my life. |

Well , no German CHRISTmas markets or even Advent VTL flights to SEA , YVR or even SFO . But we have Raffles Hotel :)
First at the Lobby Lounge for high tea and then the Long Bar . Others adjourned to the Butcher Block for dinner . Descriptions of victuals will be posted later . Lunch: spicy tuna roll (did not eat the rice), salad, light chicken noodle soup\ Afternoon snack: sweet potato I now have four turkey patties marinating in pickle juice. I am very excited to see how this turns out, though I'm not sure if I should make them tonight or wait until tomorrow. I have a 50% coupon for Uber Eats expiring tonight that I would like to use. -J. |

I have always loved pickles... I tried it with chicken on a whim over the summer and it was great. The other day I thought it would be great with a burger (since burgers are often served with pickles). I actually just finished making it and... well I guess we'll see when I try it tomorrow. I do not think it will be as successful as I was hoping.
Dinner tonight was steamed chicken breast and steamed veggies (and a whole wheat pita) from Eva's Kitchen in Kew Gardens. Had an Uber Eats coupon so got that along with extra steamed veggies and an egg white wrap that I will have tomorrow. -J. |
