Breakfast: baked egg white & spinach wrap in a whole wheat tortilla (from Eva's Kitchen) with Valentina hot sauce
Snack: spicy flavor veggie straws Lunch: steamed veggies and turkey burger. The burger was not as good as I was hoping but wasn't bad. It probably could have marinated for several more hours. Afternoon snack: carrots

SHRIMP EGGPLANT and RICOTTA |
Latvian pierogis fresh from the oven!
Different from the Polish version in the fact that they use a more typical bread dough filled with ham, bacon, and onion. So they come out like mini bread loaves but with good stuff inside. I was able to make a deal with my wife - if they don't meet her standard of beauty (no lines or gaps) then they're up for grabs :). The pretty ones get frozen for the holidays. |

Non-meat mapo tofu (lkk sauce ftw) with mushroom & celery
2 chicken gyoza (Ling Ling) uncle Ben’s white rice (microwaved) |
Cypress Grove Humboldt Fog goat cheese with ash on crackers. Delicious cheese but I wish it wasn't so pricey.

Whole Foods typically does a 12-days-of-Christmas cheese sale in December that frequently features Humboldt Fog as one of the sale cheeses. But each cheese is only on sale one day.

Grilled octopus, fried calamari, chicken pepperoni parmigiana from Bond 45.
Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks were playing tonight. Vince is a family friend and it was very exciting to enjoy his music with my friend. Special guests included Molly Ringwald (at the table next to us, no less) and Michael Feinstein, both of whom sang. -J. |
