It is on sale on day 6 in 2021; that would be December 15.

My calendar has been marked for cheese buying days. Thanks for the info. Mmmm...cheese.

Had some great Mexican food the last two days. Had to go downtown for my 6 month visit with my Cardiologist. I recalled a great little takeout only place on 14th St and Roosevelt, called Rito’s.

Their corn green enchiladas are the best I’ve ever had. I decided to put in a big online order, for after I hoped my appointment would be over.

Got an enchilada style green burro, 3 big green chile enchiladas, some shredded beef tacos with rice and beans. They don’t have a huge menu here. It’s not cheap, and at $4.50 for each tacos, I’d probably skip those next time.

Their green chili sauce is definitely the best.

Nasi lemak - no photos , forgot as the beef rendang looked so good - started on it pronto , the rice itself was just “ passable “ .

Have not had one in awhile .. döner kebab , interesting with corn

They're meant to be shared! Unfortunately, she only made about 3-4 dozen for Christmas, as it's very labor intensive. So none to ship :). From what I've seen, it's mostly the domain of grandmothers, who will spend a whole day (sometimes getting together with a friend or two) and make several hundred to freeze in advance of a big holiday. People our age don't typically have the time. My wife is off for a week before starting a new job so this is the first time she's made them in at least 4 years. I've had the frozen/re-heated many times and they re-heat well. I think this was the first time I had some fresh from the oven while still hot and now I only want them that way!

I was going to guess 12 Days of Chees-mas before I saw the link.

How old is that rice? Didn’t they change their name over a year ago?

Just had a bowl of oatmeal.

I know I mentioned fish for later this week, but I'm thinking I might try and find a Subway coupon and pick something up after work tomorrow.

Actually if I am reading this correctly, they are all on sale from the 10th to the 21st.
Save 30% on all 12 of the cheeses below for all 12 days, from December 10 – 21.* Prime members can save an extra 10%.

Oh! Thanks for the heads up, should mark this in my calendar, and check for the daily sales. Yeah, count me in as a big time cheese lover too!

The language is a bit unclear; while the sale lasts twelve days, unless they have changed it this year, each cheese is on sale for only one day. It's been like that for years; so, mark your calendar for the cheeses that you like.

Lunch was a turkey burger and carrots, followed by a strawberry-banana Greek yogurt with Cheerios.

Lunch was leftover half a pizza from Spacca Napoli (the Fiorentino - spinach, fior di leche, mozzarella).

Yes, very unclear. I have the app & when I click on the specials it doesn't even mention this cheese thingy. WF is very close to where I live...I will try to get the scoop. It would be nice not to have to make several trips for certain cheeses.

The name was changed about a year ago, but I believe the new packaging wasn't really available for a while, maybe summer 2021. Now I'm going to go check the kitchen for rice boxes and fake maple syrups...wondering if we have any with old names.

gaobest Dec 8, 2021 2:27 pm

meatless mapo tofu (with mushroom / carrot / celery) including lkk sauce
Shanghai bok choy
rice-a-Roni cilantro lime rice without seasoning packet

I bought the Shanghai bok choy yesterday at a larger Asian supermarket (new May wah at corner of Clement & 8th Ave) and they had zero bok choy under $1.19/lb. None of the $0.89 Edlp that Yyz is paying. Sad! I’ll keep looking. I want to buy it at a sub-$0.99 cost. Sadly I bought a can of water chestnuts and I bloody forgot to use it today. Life is so cruel. Plus the water chestnuts also weren’t anything low on cost compared to what I buy at Safeway. Argh.

Taiwanese bok choy best price for this week was $0.89

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...1463036482.png

Shanghai bok choy was more expensive ($1.79) but it all fluctuates... Although I suspect the supply chain issues are going to make some of the price higher for the near term.

(Now let's see if the upload works)
