New for me to enjoy at home

Excellent butter.

I just may have to drive over the hill to Wally's to buy some. Albeit, they don't seem to carry the version with "sea lettuce".

Where do you get this French butter? Murray's Cheese?

if you mean the Meunier, then any good cheese shop should stock it - nancy silverton gave it a lot of publicity a few years ago.

Tried Bay's english muffins today. They're good, but not amazing, and definitely not worth a trip to a separate store.

For me, it’s the right combination of flavor and texture as well as being sliced all the way through. I like the flavor of Thomas’s but not the texture. Local store brands are properly sliced and textured but don’t taste right.

The Bays raisin English muffins are very special but difficult to find. However, I would go a week without English muffins if it involved a separate trip

The ones I tried are the cinnamon raisin variety.

bingo! So good. Except I still sadly decided that Costco is just as good. I’ll try it again tonight.

Bays are sadly better than Thomas and others - thankfully there’s no longer a supply chain challenge for them :-)

The chicken from France - dressed

Did that get delivered from a restaurant or mail order?

French butter test 2 - and it really tastes the same as Costco butter. Sigh. Now I know.

Trader Joe’s sourdough toast
french butter
costco salted butter
safeway organic crunchy peanut butter

i wonder how good Costco almond butter tastes.

Toasted PB sandwich, some blackberries, and three short americanos for breakfast.

How do the fancy French and Costco butters compare to Kerrygold, in your opinion?

As it’s pancake day today, I’m surprised nobody seems to be having pancakes.

except we did: buckwheat galettes with gruyere and prosciutto crudo, accompanied by a mache salad.

While back (I believe in 2017), Kabuki used to offer grilled meat in pancakes in their happy hour menu.
