The lobster roll food truck made an appearance in my neck of the woods. Had an overpriced $16.95 lobster roll. They were cheap with the meat with too much leg portions and not enough tail or claw. Lesson learned.

busy day but I was able to cook my luncheon:
mapo tofu with Spicely brand peppercorns, dried red chilis from Indian Grocer - finally a great mix of heat and tingle. More tingle next time but a good start. Spicely brand ftw.
bok choy
White rice

I’m seriously in the wrong line of business! I can head over to my favorite lobster purveyor at the Jersey shore and purchase a 2 lb lobster for $18. Add in the cost of bread, and mayo....I can easily make 4 healthy lobster rolls for under $25, utilizing nothing but claw and tail meat.

NE Lobster also sells lobsters and oysters plus wholesale etc. I enjoy it much.

On the road today.

Breakfast: two hard boiled eggs and a packaged bagel at the RDU Admirals Club plus a banana.

Lunch: Went to a hole in the wall BBQ joint in Lancaster, KY and had smoked sausage with tangy BBQ sauce, Mac and Cheese (good), Cole Slaw (awful) and two beers. This was good.

Spicy soup of rockfish, tofu, and bok choy. Alas I overcooked the peppercorns and chili peppers, so the house got smoky and spicy. My child asked me to not cook “this” again - I have to figure a better way to work with the peppercorns and chili peppers! Oops.
white rice

and because the soup was too flooded with the peppercorns as well as lacking in any taste, I sighed and made a dip of Trader Joe’s Sriracha sauce with a bit of low-sodium soy sauce to generate and flavor. I need to rethink how to make a spicy fish soup or stew. Mega sigh :-)

My day started off rough with the two and a half worst words in the travelers language: Grab n' Go:

But escalated to a delicious lunch at a German themed gastropub in Louisville:

It really was. Amazing mustard too. So good I was eating little forkfuls of it after I finished the rest of my food.
