It says river prawns....I have seen that river & I would not wash my dirty socks in there let alone eat anything that once lived there. Are they referring to some other river in Bangkok? I finally found a disturbing Aidell’s sausage product - their chicken jalapeño bacon cheddar mixture sausage which was on sale at Safeway. I grilled them with onions and sliced them for a Sammie for my luncheon. The inside included black beans. So heinous. I sighed and ate my sandwich because I was in a tight spot inbetween work and fetching my child at school. No time to make something else. I hate to waste food but I’m going to have to compost the rest of the sausages (they have an opportunity cost with sodium) and probably only buy chicken Apple sausage from that company; only Evergood spicy ones for me for the future.

I am surprised that the black bean flavor was that overpowering with all of those other ingredients. But I agree that it does seem like an odd thing to have in there. |

I'd try it. |

forgot to say that Costco has the big kettle bag of jalapeño - I know it’s mega value but it’s too big for me and I have this idea that these big bags have a fast shelf life once the bag is opened. So I’m buying the smaller bag for $2 at Safeway on sale. I think that ONLY jalapeño was available.

We eat the Aidells brand products regularly. Many have little to no sugar. I like using apples in place of adding sugar. Their meatballs are as good as their sausage if you don’t feel like making them from scratch.

I buy the 8 or 13 ounce Kettle Jalapeño at my local Kroger supermarket. |
